Great CPU Cooling for a Good Price
When I built my PC five years ago I installed a Dark Rock Pro 4 for my CPU cooler. It worked very well, but over the years the fans grew louder, the cooling became less efficient, and dust began to accumulate in hard to clean places. I decided to look for an affordable replacement and settled on the Thermalright Peerless Assassin. Overall, I believe this was a very good choice.Compared to my Dark Rock Pro 4, the Thermalright Peerless Assassin was a breeze to install. The LGA 155x bracket fit my motherboard and was easy to install. The thermal paste seemed thicker than other pastes I've used, but it went on neatly and is clearly working. The spring screws seem to have secured the cooler to the brackets very well. My biggest complaint with my old cooler was installing the fans. Happily, I can report that the Peerless Assassin's fan are easy to install, and remove if needed, and are secure. In terms of performance, I'm completely satisfied. The fans are not as quiet as my Dark Rock Pro 4 when I first installed it. However, they are an acceptable low volume. My PC has an Intel Core i7-8700k CPU and the cooler has no problem keeping it between 20C to 30C while idle or under a light load. I am no longer an avid gamer, and do not play modern video games, however I did test the thermals while playing Minecraft. It kept my CPU around 40C most of the time and would briefly shoot up to 50C when loading parts of the map.At less than 40 USD this cooler is a fantastic option for CPU cooling. Its significantly less expensive than comparable coolers, is easy to install, and delivers good performance.

Top of the line air cooler with a very attractive price
Build quality is surprising and comes with everything you'd need to install it. Works amazing and keeps my Ryzen 7 7700 cool even under load. Highest temps I've seen were just scratching 80 degrees Celsius, which is great for hotter CPUs like mine. Noise levels are very tolerable and almost insignificant with other background sounds. Although it can only be this amazing by having a larger size, which is fine for my slimmer ram and larger case, though can't say the same for others.

Definitely recommend
Works GREAT for the price it’s definitely worth it it is a a very bulky cooler which I had to install backwards because it overlaps ram with its size but even still it works perfectly it’s not too loud and keeps my 9700x under 80 degrees under load generally, a good quality air cooler for the price

Affordable top tier performance
I have purchased ~4-5 Thermalright air coolers over the past couple of years. They consistently perform and hold up well.I'm not sure how well the included fans work, as I've always replaced them with Arctic fans. The same goes for the thermal paste, but I'm sure the included thermal paste works fine for 90% of use cases.Mounting hardware is included for AM4, AM5, and LGA1700 sockets. Installation can be a little frustrating at first, even with Thermalright's instruction videos. If you're having trouble, be patient and make sure your brackets aren't upside-down or facing the wrong way.Something to check before purchase (of any cooler) is that it will fit in your computer case. I haven't had any issues in any of the mATX cases I've built in so far, but it's always worth checking.Overall, a very efficient air cooler with amazing bang for your buck.

It works well but fitting is a pain
My AIO water cooler died and used this to replace it on my 1150 socket intel server board. The good:Running the server at max load in a 17C room the cpu temp didn’t exceed 59C running on one fan due to cable interference. At idle temp is 25C. As a cooler it’s quiet and works well. The not so good:The alignment of the mounting posts to the bracket was off by about 1mm requiring a bit of finagling to get it to mount. The instructions are horrible. The fans don’t show airflow direction so relied on YouTube to know the direction of airflow.Overall for the price it’s a good cooler and does what it needs to do. I recommend it, but be prepared to struggle with lining everything up. Fits well in my fractal design mid tower case.

The Best CPU Cooler Ever - Unmatched Performance and Value!
The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU Cooler is hands down the greatest cooler I’ve ever owned, and honestly, the best one that exists right now. Here’s why I’m so impressed:Unbeatable Performance:This cooler is an absolute beast. The performance-to-price ratio is out of this world, and I don’t think there’s another cooler on the market that can match it in this aspect. It cools even the most demanding CPUs with ease, and it’s up there competing with some of the liquid coolers, which is just incredible for an air cooler at this price point.Design and Aesthetics:Not only does it perform well, but it also looks great. The design is sleek and it fits perfectly into my build. Add in some RGB lighting, and it really stands out. It’s clear that Thermalright put a lot of thought into both the function and the form of this cooler.Long-Term Value:If this cooler continues to perform at this level, I honestly don’t see myself ever needing another air cooler again. It does everything I need it to and more, and at a price that’s hard to believe. It’s rare to find something that excels so much in both performance and value, but this cooler does exactly that.Environmental Concerns:My only gripe is with the packaging. There’s a bit too much plastic, and I’d love to see Thermalright move towards more environmentally friendly, recyclable materials. This is something that’s really important to me, and I hope both other customers and the folks at Thermalright take note. Good companies should lead the way in sustainability.Final Thoughts:The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE is a game-changer. It’s a powerhouse of a cooler that doesn’t break the bank, looks amazing, and competes with even the high-end liquid coolers. If you’re in the market for a CPU cooler, this one should be at the top of your list. Just a small note to Thermalright—let’s work on that packaging. Otherwise, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase!
