Simon & Schuster Super Crossword Puzzle Book #12: The Biggest and the Best (12) (S&S Super Crossword Puzzles)

I've purchased several of this series over the years. I like them because they are learning tools. There aren't too many puzzles that can be completed without a little help. The puzzles are interestingly themed, but I don't like the "quote" ones. I do like the tear out pages. It's easier to deal with a single page or two on a clip board. It allows sharing too.

My favorite go-to crossword books. The puzzles and clues are all on the same page, answers at the back. Perforated pages so you can tear out and take with you on a trip, for instance. Not too hard and not too easy. Just the right level of challenge for the average crossworder.

Gave this as a gift to my mother in law that loves crossword puzzles. She was thrilled to get it.

From the cover design I thought they were. I was disappointed when I got the book and found out they are just large-type weekday themed puzzles. Given that, the puzzles are just fine. So this is not a complaint, only a warning that the cover is deceptive.

My husband loves a challenge and this book is perfect.

Not what I expected. It was not fun and too complicated. So many of the answers did not make sense.

I love this series of crossword puzzles; this is the fourth I've purchased. These are more challenging than the daily newspapers (including USA Today) and I couldn't do them without several dictionaries, including French, Latin, Spanish, German and Italian. But that's where the fun is---I love words!

Always afraid I'll end up with a book of easy boring puzzles. That was not the case with this book. Pretty much matches the Sunday Will Shortz type... just a tiny bit easier... perfect for my level.
