Wasn't so sure at first but wow was I wrong!
So let me start off saying yes, it looks like cheap film cover and it's got some not so good reviews. I got the black one (highly reccomend) for my 3 large bedroom windows. My room faces the sun everyday and even with a fan and a/c at 69 it's 80 degrees in here. We usually sleep downstairs because we work nightshift and sleeping during the day when it's the hottest makes us all miserable. The film was a small challenge to peel off and it looks cheap but I'm not here for the aesthetic purpose, I just wanted my room to cool off. Took my about 45 minutes to apply to film to my windows and waited the next day. It's now 7:42 pm and I woke to my room being nice and cool all day. No more waking up sweaty and humid. This stuff helps when you're just desperate to cool your room down and honestly it made a big difference in how I slept. Bottom line, get it.

This is a very good investment.
This is absolutely a worthwhile investment. I have a window in a small landing at the top of my stairs that traps heat. It's the hottest place in the home as light hits that window all day. I have a bedroom there as well so that that window heats up the entire bedroom even when the door is closed. After researching alot of options I chose this to try. It was easy to put up. I will link as long as you have a good squeegee. From the moment I put it up, the amount of sun steeming in dropped and so did the heat. Some reviews said that condensation would form on the inside of the window causing the seal to fail. I did mot experience any condensation, most likely because the had failed along time ago. This worked like a charm and will be Installation tip - use an exacto or a box cutter ith a new blade as the film is durable but can tear if the balde is not sharp. Use a quality squeegee. I got the 5" green one by Brand OMNANGO. The edge is fine so I could get the film into small areas. If you can put protector on your cell phone, you can do this. I will be putting it on other key windows in the future.

Impossible to apply
This is impossible for one person to apply if your standing on a ladder. It stayed in place for 4 hours then just fell off. Too cumbersome and difficult to manage. Tint is good. But impossible to keep in place! Save yourself the frustration!! Don’t buy it unless you have help and lots of patience.

Slippin and sliding!
The film is a nightmare to work with. It's sticky and hard to smooth out. However it does cut down on the glare and heat from the sun. I covered a South window but it has bubbles which just wouldn't smooth out so beware!

I got cosmic black and I love it. Love it so much I bought more.
Updated review after well over a year. I bought cosmic black. It had the most light blocking which is what I was after. I read some of the horror review that it cracked their windows (due to overheating), since I don't own my home I decided I would not even risk that and I would only apply this tint on windows that never get direct sunlight. I have a narrow window next to one of our doors that is just too bright for me. We're had cardboard or paper taped over it for years. It never gets direct sunlight on it. So this is the window I decided to tint. I wasn't expecting it to be a "privacy" tint, more of a reduction in the light levels. But I am happy to say during daylight hours you cannot see inside my home with the tint on the windows. During night time if you have your lights on inside the home, outside can see inside. Keep this in mind. It was annoying to measure out. As the window I tinted had 6 individual small panes. But do-able. It was easy enough to spray my own soapy water mix on the window and etc and apply it, then trim off the excess overhang (with an exacto knife). I used a credit card to do the squeegee part. I have one or two little bubble areas where I didn't do as good a job. And I have one little corner where I got lazy and didn't spray extra soapy water. But ... I did it by myself and yeah, yeah it was totally worth it. I loved it so much that when my neighbors put up a blindingly white and super reflector fence ... which also happens to bounce an incredible amount of light into my living room ... I used my remaining tint left over from the small front door windows and tinted one of my windows into my living room and while I did miss a few little bubbles during install it looks good still and I can keep that windows blinds open. And I ordered an even larger piece to do one of my sliding glass doors because that fence and the light it bounces into my home is terrible for my chronic migraines.

Thick quality film
Good quality film. Actually on the thicker side but still see through from the inside. Nice privacy layer as well as sun blocking. Will buy again.
