Fiebing's Antique Finish

The Fiebing's Antique Finish arrived on schedule and works very well. I am pleased with my order as well as the seller.

Stunning. And it was easy to use, dried fairly quickly, great results. I used brown over a light tan or saddle tan stain, but I bet you could use this alone by itself just fine. For my "resist" over the lighter tan, I simply used a coat of Resolene and let that dry. You don't want that to soak the piece completely, so careful how much of your surface you're blocking. Might I suggest a little trick for that? Resolene is very runny. So for a small piece, rather than wipe it on, apply it upside down, with your carved/stamped features facing the floor. See? Rather than risk it pooling and running on me, I discovered it can only go so far as I apply it, it can't pool or run. That ensures I don't have antique-resistant "blotches." More control over where I do/don't want antique to go.

This antique rub is perfect for darkinging stamps and engraves. I used it on my lasered patches where the engrave was lighter than I liked. Let it set over night and fi ish withresolibe and your set!

Fiebings makes the best antique paste and leather dyes in the business. The paste makes all the details in your tooling pop and there really isn't a substitute for it. I use it everyday in my shop.

Experimented with this a little bit with some tooling work I’m doing. It’s the perfect finish to any design. I had trouble getting it shipped, the first canister was lost and the second one was still delayed so that was kind of weird. No fault to the product!

Love this stuff, if you are a beginner make sure to watch some videos on how to use it and what it will do to other dyes as far as altering the colors

This works well I had no issues with. It has a very low smell. I will be buying this again when I'm out.
