Vintage Go Tell It on the Mountain Paperback – Big Book, 12 September 2013

This book is recommend, as I feel it is an important piece of literature - not just an important part of black literature. The writer is very gifted and has produced several great pieces of work; including his essays. I purchased the Everyman's Library Classics Edition of the book, and it is that I would like to recommend. The Everyman's Library Classics Editions, are really great quality editions, that don't cost the earth. They feature dust jackets, quality binding, and ribbon page markers; and the pages are quite thick, with good size print.

book about the struggle of a young black teen boy against his fanatic religious father. What first seems to be as a fight of a boy against the will of its parents result in a flash back of all characters, pretending to serve the Lord but they all have sinned more in life than young John probably will ever do.Although 60 years old, it reveals that not much has changed and that most fanatic religious people most of the time or the most hypocrite sinnersbeautiful story, but expected more of the end
