Wonderful!
This book is wonderful, the pictures are amazing. I've gone through looking at all of the pictures first and now going back to the beginning to read it while looking at the pictures again. The seller did a great job with the description of the book as well as shipping it out fast and packaging it to protect it. I highly recommend this seller and if your like ancient Egypt, the book also. Thank you.

Exquisite book
What a marvelous book, with stunning photos and interesting information. I had ordered several other "kids" books about Egypt for my 7 year old grandson. The formatting and illustrations were either challenging, for one reason or another, or woefully lacking. Finally I ordered this book. What a delight! He will LOVE it... now and when he's older. It will be a wonderful reference book all his life!

A great book to add to your collection if you are a serious traveler to Egypt.
Great photos and stories of Egypt in the early last century. Great photos of some of the structures before the construction of the great dam.

Nice book on Ancient Egypt
Overall this was a nice work on Ancient Egypt, told mostly thru the story of National Geographic's lens. That being said, there were as couple of times that full page full color photos seemed kind of grainy, which surprised me a little given their trove of imagery...They included a number of older photos dating back to the early days of the magazine covering Egyptology which is a cool touch that might differentiate this book a little bit from other Ancent Egypt titles. It seems well organized, mostly topically by chapter vs historically by one period after another. Is it the best book I've ever seen on Ancient Egypt? No. Is it interesting enough that someone who likes the topic and has read a lot about Egyptology would still find it worthwhile? I think so. It def makes a nice coffee table book and would make a nice gift

Absolutely awesome.
Okay so let’s be honest about what this is: a companion to Discovery Channel existing TV series available on Disney+.Accordingly, there’s a lot in this book that you’ll have already watched on tv, or vice versa.I learned about antique Egypt a while ago, when the field was dominated by non-Egyptian egyptologists. Egyptology has changed radically since, both in terms of content and philosophy…With this said, I bought this book for one purpose and it was to read it with my kid who loved the Disney+ programs. It did the job and I guess I’m content with this.Is that more interesting than books or even magazines written 30/40 years ago when that was no internet: no. Therefore, this isn’t a book I’d recommend to purchase if you’ve never read or watched anything else about pharaonic Egypt. Instead, I’d redirect you to searching second hand books written between 1970 and 1995.
