So i have a 7 old female cat that has had a hairball problem ever since i got her from the pound 6 yrs ago. I have tried a few remedies but she still gets them. The last stuff i had her on was working but again, she was still throwing them up but fewer this time. I found this paste worked better than most but was too expensive. So I looked on here and I came across this remedy. I read the reviews, all positive, so i decided to buy it. So you get 60 pills, 2 per day. So i will give her 2 per day and see if these work better than the last stuff I was using. When i first gave her one i had to cut it in 4 quarters. These pills are huge for a cat. If you have a tiger that has a hairball problem, then sure, but for a regular size cat???? So she ate 3 of the 4 quarters and then that was it, she wouldn't eat them any longer. So i decided to pour some water in a small container and then i would put the pill in the water to dissolve. Then I would pour the solution over her cat food. I have to give her wet cat food since she doesn't like to drink water at all. But she eats it all, so it works this way. Regards to these pills stopping her from throwing up hairballs, I will do an update later on. I guess i wanted other consumers to know about soaking it in water to help dissolve the huge size pill to make is easier for their cats to consume. I gave 4 stars and if she doesnt throw up for another month or so.. then i will give it 5 stars.. UPDATE: This stuff really works. Having a cat that use to spew her food all over the place once a week is now only doing it like once every few months. So i tried everything but nothing really worked till i came across this magic pill. i usually just break up a pill into quarters and then throughout the day i will give it to her as treat. i do soak it for about a min under the tap since it is a bit chalky. i fed it to her once without doing so and she threw it up. Not the food.. just the pill. So this stuff works. Believe me. She was throwing up at least once a week and i feed her wet cat food and she would run while she was throwing up.. GGGGross. Not anymore. So after 7 months or more and 5 bottles. I just give her one pill a day now. IT WORKS and she loves the chicken flavor. thanks

This Vet’s Best Cat Hairball Relief Digestive Aid has worked well for my cat. It’s easy to administer and seems gentle on digestion. Since using it regularly, I’ve noticed fewer hairball issues and less coughing or gagging overall. I like that it’s vet formulated and designed to support digestion while helping manage hairballs, rather than just masking the problem. My cat tolerates it well and has had no issues taking it. Overall, this is a helpful and reliable product for cats prone to hairballs. It’s easy to use, effective, and a good option for ongoing hairball support as part of regular care.

TL;DR, here's my main points: > Cats who are reluctant at first will LOVE these if you just make them get a taste of it! > Eliminates hairballs in some cats, reduces them in others > Puts an end to bloody vomit due to excessive strain(please see a vet to confirm the cause of the blood though!) > Ends constipation! A lot of people have issues with their cats showing no interest in these tablets; it's because they don't smell like anything. But according to my kitties, the TASTE is awesome! I break the tabs into 4 pieces, and the cats will ignore them if I just offer them like that. All I do is stick one piece in their mouth, and even if it falls out right away that one little taste is enough to get them begging for more! They'll happily eat the whole thing once they've had a taste of it; you just can't rely on the smell like with normal treats. That said, the effectiveness against hair balls seems to vary from cat to cat; some cats will never see a hairball again, others will see them less often. Either way, you will be getting a reduction in hairball frequency. And, for the ones who still get hairballs, these tablets make it much easier for them to bring it up; so no more blood specks in the vomit(and yes I've had vets confirm that the blood I saw before was due to strain from trying to puke and not something of concern) A bonus effect of these tablets is that they completely eliminate constipation, thanks to the fibre in them. If your cat is chronically constipated, I'd strongly recommend these even if hairballs aren't a major issue.
