Having risen to fame as a core member of Bob Marleys Wailers, for whom he wrote a number of famous songs, the late Peter Tosh found considerable acclaim as a solo artist, recording a number of classic reggae albums that reflected his strong Rastafari faith and political convictions. This superb live set was taped in Atlanta, Georgia for FM radio broadcast as he promoted his Bush Doctor LP (released through Rolling Stones Records, because Mick and Keef were huge fans), and is presented here together with background notes and images.

Wonderful Peter Tosh Concert
This is an epic recording of Peter Tosh Live In Atlanta, USA in 1979.The sound quality is great and the music is superb as Tosh and his group (Word Sound And Power) storm through such hits as "400 Years", "Stepping Razor", "Pick Myself Up", "African" and "Soon Come".Highlights include the epic version of "Burial" (a stunning guitar solo) and "Babylon Queendom", it also captures the moment Peter Tosh is awarded Honorary Citizenship of the city before exploding into "Downpresser Man".A Wonderful Live Show.

Heavy reggae live
Magnificent. Always thought tosh was as good /equal to marley. This proves it. Much heavier than marley live cds. The whole concert is just sheer power all through. If you like heavy reggae buy/listed to this.

Five Stars
a classic of the genre varying in recorded quality but well worth having in your collection

interesting but not outstanding
This is a radio broadcast and the sound quality reflects this. File under 'interesting' rather than 'outstanding'. For your money you get a 2cd live concert which has genuine historical value but I fail to understand what the reviewers who praised the sound quality were listening to... It's cheap and it is another radio broadcast cd so you get what you pay for.
