Coldfire Curse

My seven year old loves the Wrenly series and has read all of the books. I thought this might be a good series to start next. However, it's not only a completely different style of book, but the tone of the book and of the characters is different, as well. I could tell immediately that the Wrenly author did not write this. The writing was poor, the story had gaps and didn't immediately make much sense. A lot has to be inferred from the pictures. In my opinion, it's poor storytelling. My son read it once and never picked it up again - unlike the Wrenly books which he has read multiple times. It's not awful but just don't buy it expecting it to be like typical Wrenly.

My dude read finished this book within 30 minutes of it arriving. Then he reread it over and over the entire day. The next day he read it a few more times. I swear to you, my son read this book around a dozen times within 48 hours. His Christmas wish is the rest of the series.

Its a good quality book, I'm 10 and bought it... I'd say the price is a bit high, yet I still like it. I'd say its still a good short read!

Not sure what more needs to be said beyond that. I am looking forward to enjoying the rest of the them as it will be fun to watch the character growth.As a side note, this is more what the WoF graphic novils should have been like. Nothing against that series though as it is agreatl read/listen but not so good in the graphic novil formate.

I have ordered multiple comic books for my daughter, who is now 3 y o. This one so far is the best - easy dialogs, easy to follow story, great vibrant illustrations. Will definitely buy more of this series.
