We love, love, love this press. Works exactly as advertised. We like the fact the the bottom of the press is flat. It is easy to stowaway. Just an all around great product. Would highly recommend this seller and this product.

Very sturdy

Works great on the griddle. I like that it’s completely flat on the bottom. The corrugated presses can tear the burgers. Note: this is not a heavy weight press!

But it seems well-constructed and was quite a bit heavier than I expected, which is nice. I used it twice so far and it seems great. I also bought some 6" parchment paper to use with it so it doesn't stick to your food and makes cleanup easier.

This is perfect for SmashBurgers allowing you to smash the patty thin rocking back and forth with extra pressure to edges, hold flat for 10 seconds to get full contact to griddle for Maillard reaction to caramelize bottom. It allows great control on round burger. It is very thick and heave stainless steel which feels incredibly strong. It also has a nice hard rubber grip which overlaps the stainless to ensure your hands do not get burnt should you leave it on the surface. This is not as heavy as cast iron, but surprisingly heavy and perfectly flat which is what is needed for SmashBurgers. Most cast iron seems to have ridges which conflicts with a perfectly flat burger, but also difficult to clean, rust, etc. It appears to be built very well, stainless and in dishwasher multiple times already with no issues. Will watch, but seems to be very nice.

Makes great smashburgers

I'm a chef. I bought this because I make 60-100 double smash burgers a day. My team and I have been using this every day since it was delivered. I expected flimsy metal or seams that would eventually break. I was very wrong. Solid. No flexing. No seams. Easy to scrub clean. Be aware the rubber on the handle will eventually start to soften and flex with exposure to heat and grease. DO NOT leave it on your flat-top - it's steel under the grip and it will get hot! I can't see any reason why this won't last a good, long time with heavy, regular use.
