The smell is equivalent to... Okay so hear me out; as a kid back in the 90's, remember going to the store and getting an assortment of gushers, fruit roll ups, and fruit by the foot? Now, imagine taking all three of those, wadding them up into a ball and then sticking it into your mouth for 5 minutes worth of straight euphoria. Thats EXACTLY what this smells like. Its basically an aroma that fills your nostrils with PURE nostalgia taking you back to the good ol' days of block buster and 1-3 gen pokemon. As far as the hold goes, its not super strong like the high hold Layrite, but I prefer this over Suavecito Firme by a long shot because while it holds relatively better, its also a lot easier to spread throughout your hair and not as greasy which seems to be the biggest issue with all pomades by nature.

Former barber of my recommended Bonafide and been A+++ ever since. I'm the last person you'd consider a stylist. With this pomade I'm able to pull off the looks I want and with practice, have managed to get it done in less time. My girlfriend thanks you for the extra time in the restroom!

I’ve been using pomades for quite some time. I have very curly hair and that’s no joke. It’s thick as well. Long story short my preference for hair cut is a zero high to 1 back and sides. Leaving the top manageably much longer. The only way this becomes manageable is with a proper strong hold pomade. Out of all the brands I’ve used. Bonafide is my all time favorite. They have a nice citrus slightly masculine scent with all of their products and I do think their super hold works top notch. I have extremely curly hair so application to my longer top has to be relatively soon after towel drying as best I can. If this is done properly it’s one of the best pomades I’ve used. I prefer this pomade to Suavecito super hold (which smells awful) , Layrite super hold, Empire Strong Hold (which the quality differs each tin),uppercut products (aside from Monster Hold but that is wax based ). If you have resilient and hard to manage hair Bonanfide super hold will take care of you. Make sure that you apply it when your hair is not wet, not completely dry but somewhere close to being almost dry. Always rub the pomade well between your hands before application and apply it back and forth through the roots. I can have a style that holds all day with a minimal amount used. Good stuff. If you are looking for a cheaper product that works well as far as super hold pomade I highly recommend Clubman’s super hold pomade. Clubman has a 16 oz tub Of super hold pomade that works very well for the price. All in all this is good stuff but if budget is an issue try Pinaud Clubman strong hold pomade.
