Positively SUPERB Display Port-to-HDMI Converter - and What a Price!
I recently had a media center desktop computer upgraded to new components (CPU, Memory, etc.). This computer had two HDMI outputs. In the "second" system in which I use this computer I have a 7" monitor and a video projector. I use the monitor when I play music and the projector when I show movies using this system. (I can use them both at the same time but I usually do not do so.)Well, that media center computer HAD two HDMI outputs but the newer components came with only one HDMI output and one Display Port output. I have nothing that uses Display Port and I need that second output.What to do?As always, when I run across a problem like this, I did a search here on Amazon to see what I could buy to rectify the situation.Amazon offers many suitable items but THIS ONE < Displayport to HDMI Adapter 4K 24K Gold Plated Displayport DP to HDMI Female Converter，Uni-Directional Display Port to HDMI Converter Compatible for Lenovo, HP, Dell &More- Grey > is the least costly one and the only one I could find which is a compact metal piece with no cable. It appears to be "built like a tank."It just plugs directly into the DP and its output goes directly to an HDMI cable.Obviously, as you can tell from my Star rating and the title of my review, it works absolutely perfectly.And for $5.99 you just can't go wrong. Worked Like a Charm
I initially ordered the wrong adapter/converter so, of course, I returned it.My CPU is a wonderful, older, refurbished HP (purchased from Amazon, of course), that doesn’t have HDMI ports. I noticed this CPU had ports that I wasn’t familiar with so, upon further research, I noticed they were different from typical usb ports.I searched through Google and then, after I discovered what appeared to be an adapter that looked like it would fit those ports, Amazon led me to the display port to HDMI converter. Voila!!! Success!My incredible and large monitor (also an Amazon purchase), immediately glowed into a perfect display from an awesome connection. The display was immediate upon plugging the converter/adapter into the display port.I’m impressed and my purchase was very reasonably priced.Highly recommend.(Now all I need is some good speakers and my printer nozzles to get unclogged.).

Works well on a standard WIndows computer
This adapter works great with my new HDMI KVM switch. I don't play games on this computer, so I can't comment on that. These work find for my basic email, browsing, or document creation.

Excellent quality, performance price and value
The media could not be loaded. At time of purchase (July 15th,24) this item was $5.99.I use this to emulate the display port signal from my PC to my powered 4-way HDMI splitter that feeds all of my single channel monitors/TV's. I use this adapter, a short 2 foot HDMI cable and my powered splitter and it's been working great. Before this I was using a corded DP to HDMI cable (without the splitter), and I tried a couple of them but they would both run hot and one of them even failed completely. This set up hasn't had that problem and this adapter has stayed cool to the touch with no signal degradation from heat failure after daily use for months now.Great performance, great value, and would buy it again.

Works great at high resolution.
