I was very cautious ordering an E collar but if you're a newbie learn all you can ahead of time! Alot of these horror pics look like they left the collar on the dog for long periods or over shocked the dog. I'm sure some dogs do have skin reactions but this is why its best to test it, put it on the dog for a bit and keep checking their skin. Dogs do have tough skin but if you have a tighter collar on them 24/7 with little spikes, it's kinda obvious what will happen.When using try to only keep it on the pup when needed, ie I only put it on my dog when I bring her outside.Don't shock automatically. The dog wont understand what they're doing wrong. Use the beep or vibration with a "No, heel" or "No, leave it" and if they persist THEN use the shock.Start low. Don't automatically crank it to 80 thinking its better. Start low and work your way up. Try a control test like if your dog pulls while walking, try to correct them and slowly crank it up until they react. My dog reacts well at 24. I've seen what happens when you just crank it and expect the dog to understand, they get scared or angry and you get a whole new training issue.E Collars are a great training tool if used correctly, alot of the horror stories are from user error/negligence so don't write them off because of it. Do the research and if you think it'll help, give it a shot. Helped my dog exponentially with her pulling, leash aggression, and trying to chase everything that moves. Now shes a normal pup that doesnt pull and can calmly watch my son and his friends bike back and forth without trying to drag me to follow them. This is a great one! The battery lasts long and charges fast, lock for me to keep in my pocket or wrist strap to hold, and a light up screen for night time.

This is the only e-collar I’ll buy, I bought my first one for my Doberman back in 2018, it barely started going out this year, so I went back in my purchase history and got the newer version. The newer one has an on/off button on the actual collar now which is nice for conserving battery when it’s not in use, although the battery life on the older one is great! It’s an awesome collar, it works well, sometimes I’ve used it when he’s outside and I am inside, I beep it to stop his barking and he knows thats a sign. Usually, i don’t use the shock but I have a couple times when he was younger during off leash training, it’s worked well. I haven’t had any issues and the remote is convenient with the strap , sometimes I attach it to my key carabiner while we’re out at the park. Nonetheless, this is a great beginner e-collar if you’re new to them and are wondering whether or not to buy one, I love how it has the beep, vibrate, and shock feature so its easier to explain to people who think these collars are inhumane and cruel to animals.

I bought this for my 10-month old male Golden Retriever who was extremely stubborn with the Invisible Fence, leaving the yard routinely even though he was feeling the collar shock. I started using this training collar using only the sound (beep) and vibrate features. This worked extremely well to keep him in the yard while I was with him and had remote in hand. Often him just seeing the remote in my hand was enough.The vibration is quite strong which gets his attention but does not hurt. The shock level is adjustable.The two downsides I found were the collar coming off and the power button wearing. Five weeks after purchase, the collar came apart (the fabric, not the device). It had worn and lost its ability to stay at the length I set. I contacted customer service and they did send me a new fabric collar.The power button is small and I get the sense that it won't last. I could be wrong.Regarding the sleep function which turns off the collar after four hours I think, yes it is annoying because while that saves battery power, I have to remember to push that tiny power button again which will only wear it out faster. I wish I could turn off the sleep function.Overall for the price, this was a good buy.

This is by far the best product that I have found to help control my dogs’ barking- and I’ve tried many! In general, the set-up is extremely simple, and the instructions are clear and easy to understand, and the product works VERY well! I really appreciate having three options for training and discipline: a beep, a vibration, and a shock. And the vibration and shock levels go from 0 to 100, so you can customize it to how sensitive your dog is. I use the beep for “stay way” or “leave it”, and 95% of the time only use the vibration feature in order to get my dogs settled down so they stop barking. I have three dogs- and they can get each other wound up, so this collar system has proven invaluable for both my peace of mind and that of my neighbors. The three collars are all managed by the same transmitter, and each one is set to that dog’s level of need.The BEST part about this training collar: it works through the walls of my adobe house! I live in New Mexico, in an authentic, “double-walled” (12” thick) adobe house. These houses are notorious for being challenging when one is indoors in terms of cell phone reception and aWi-Fi connection to your own router! But this transmitter and receiver still work, even when my dogs are outside, and I am inside. My property is ¼ acre in total and is a long skinny rectangle in shape. I can still get my dogs under control when they are at the back gate, and I am inside my house- the furthest away I can get on my property.

We have blown through two collars now. In the description it states swimming and 100% waterproof and it is not. It will withstand a little splashing and water play, however it will not make it through any submersible swimming activities. We have a golden retriever who loves the water and it does not live up to the description as advertised. The collar does work very well for its other purpose just take it off before the dog swims. I will need to buy a third collar now after only 6Weeks :(
