Sit in it don't fall into it!
You CAN break this chair! I had a previous similar one marketed by Eddie Bauer and my camp buddies broke it! I used it for years by just sitting carefully and realizing that you are putting a lot of strain on those plastic parts if you fall into it instead of easing into it! I replaced the old one with this one and it works fine. It has the same plastic parts so I got a couple of FRAGILE stickers and stuck it to the pipes and hopefully my camp buddies will be more gentle with this one. It is so comfortable I have to shoo someone out of it every time I return to camp! Perhaps the smartest thing would be to fold it up and put it away until you need it again since you will not break it if you are careful.NOTE: The chair is marketed in some places with or without the footrest so this one comes with the footrest removed and the footrest mount points capped. You unscrew the caps and screw in the articulating caps attached to those two lower front plastic parts you see in the illustration. Well guess what! I drilled out one of the extra caps and replaced the broken one on the old Eddie Bauer recliner! So now I have two chairs. (The Eddie Bauer is slightly lighter but has been discontinued.)Final NOTE: The two attach points on the front of the seat take the biggest beating and both of mine cracked on the Eddie Bauer model. I had a roll of silver duct tape in the camp and made a figure eight wrap around where the two pipes joined at that point and the tape was flexible enough to still allow the chair to fold. It works fine and is holding the cracked plastic part together and keeping the now exposed end of the pipes from cutting into the chair fabric.Am I saying, "Don't buy it?" NO. It is so comfortable it is worth being a little careful. You can read for hours in this chair without waking up once!

Faulty footrest set up
I bought this to replace an old camping chair. It looked to be tough and hold good weight and I really liked the foot rest so I could lean back and relax. So... with this being said, I ordered the chair and it came quick (thanks Amazon!)The good-1.) Easy to assemble...pretty straight forward2.) The chair was comfortable to sit in with a high back so you could rest your head by leaning it back against the nice pillow they give you with it. Good for kicking back around a camp fire or at the beach or pool. The bad -1.) Biggest gripe was that the footrest where the plastic snap-on belt clip did not "clip" in fully and so the footrest just fell flat to the ground. It was poor plastic design where any tug weight on the belt clip would NOT hold and it would unclip and fall down. I tried to cut some of the plastic off the sides to see if I could make the clips catch to the sides better but to no avail. I read on prior posts of this issue as well. Thought I could be one of the lucky ones that did not have this problem...but no dice on my luck. Now I have to figure out a way to fix this issue. Maybe I will need to buy a better belt clip and install it myself...dunno.2.) They give you one cup holder....they should have made 2 cup holders...one on each side of hand rest. For the bad stuff, especially the faulty footrest set up, I will give this a 3 star. The manufacturer needs to fix this problem or send us some good replacement clips. If it were not for that footrest issue, I would have given this a 4-5 star as it is comfortable to sit in. Would have been that much better if the footrest worked.EDIT: Just bought a Sport-Brella Recliner Chair...10X better than this chair...and it has an umbrella attached!

Quality has declined.
The first travel chair I bought lasted 12 years. I finally had to replace it as the nylon was rotting due to exposure to years of sun. I loved that chair. It was rock solid. I had no qualms about spending the money to replace it as I was sure the replacement was going to last as long as well. Unfortunately that was not the case. The first time I used it I discovered that one of the plastic clips that secure the foot rest would not latch. I had to secure it with a zip tie. No big deal. Life goes on. fast forward 3 more camping trips, it failed completely. The metal frame cracked at one of the rivet points. Very disappointing. I weigh 240 lbs. Not a small guy but the weight limit on this product is stated at 300 lbs. The conditions it was used in would be considered normal. At a camp sitting around a camp fire. This chair (at 70 dollars) lasted exactly 16 months. It has a one year warranty per the manufacturers site so and repair will be at my expense (shipping as well). The verbiage on the website for travel chair under the warranty section seethes with an air of " Take it or leave it" Dont bother with this product, just go to Walmart and get one of theirs at 10 - 15 bucks. You could buy one every year for 5 years and have spent the same amount of money.Postscript, i contacted the manufacturer, The customer service rep was very nice and instead of having me ship the chair back just had me text pictures of the chair and the parts that failed. Along with the batch code on the chair. She cheerfully had a new chair shipped within 48 hours. i am upgrading the rating to 3 stars due to superior customer service.

Sturdy, comfy chair!
Doesn't come with instructions, but not difficult to assemble. Note: remove caps from swivels by the front legs to install poles for footrest.Very comfy for someone who is "Queen-size" (or "King-size, too, I imagine). Not the easiest to get into until you find a "trick" that works for you. For me, dropping the footrest to the floor by unbuckling it, then rebuckling it after I've straddled it, then sitting works well for me. I get out of it by sliding forward a bit, so my hips are out of the sling, unbuckling the footrest, then using the arms to help me stand works quite well. Chair is sturdy enough for someone at the 300# limit to push -- gently -- on the arms.All-in-all, a very good chair for someone who is plus-sized. π

My favorite camping chair
This is the third Big Bubba chair I've ordered from eBay. The first one was left behind at a baseball game. The second one blew into a campfire and melted. And now onto the third...I love these chairs.

Making camping more comfortable
Absolutely love this chair for camping. I specifically wanted one with a footrest, keeps your feet and legs away from sand fleas that come out at night and just so much more comfortable. It is a great size and even my over 6 foot tall husband is comfortable in it.
