The single best coffee-related purchase I've ever made!
All parts received in the picture, but it's not really relevant to the conversation here. This kit is worth every penny charged, and then some. If you're getting started with drinking coffee and need some equipment for brewing at home, this is the go-to. The movement starter. The holy grail, so to speak.Blame the price on the government, this is supposed to be cheaper, but it's still well worth the price.Brewing the default way (right-side up) is one of the many, many variations this coffee maker offers you to choose. Its versatility is the selling point here. This is my second purchase, my first one is an Aeropress Go (still working flawlessly) which is now relegated to travel coffee-making duties, and because of one of the only major cons of this product.Because this is a review, here are some pros and cons.Pros:* Excellent packaging and durability.* Easy to clean after coffee is made.* Control over brew time, brewing temperature, and coffee-water ratio. Grind size adjustments if you own a grinder are truly a quantum leap.* It's very hard to not make good coffee in this thing. It truly is that easy to use. Get used to the motions, and you'll be walking away with your cafe-grade home-brewed coffee within 5 minutes.* Filters last a long long time, and you can re-use each one up to 5-10 times comfortably, if you so desire sustainability/cost, or, just buy a metal filter once the included 350 are finished.* It's a very sturdy product, despite being made of plastic. Yes, it's BPA free, and doesn't leech into the drink (also has quite the heat retention to be honest!) I have had zero durability concerns with it so far after over a year of use and over 700 cups of coffee in it.* Did I mention versatility? Don't like the taste? Change it! Change the temp and grind size to reduce bitterness/sourness. Use it upright, invert it, reduce water to coffee ratio, increase it, you're the boss.* Very easy to travel with. You can even buy the aeropress go variant (which I started with), which comes with the following parts: A scoop, a 550ml approx. brewing glass, a spatula/mixing spoon, plunger, the press body, a small filter holder. The kicker? It all fits into into that cup! Image attached.I can go on and on, but you get the idea.Cons:* The single biggest con of the aeropress is how much coffee you can brew in one go. If you're brewing a concentrate, it'll be 3-4 cups max (in this variant). I could barely brew 2 cups at a time in my aeropress go. One of the biggest reasons I switched to this recently.* I guess you could call paper filters a trade-off in terms of taste and lack of sediment (the absolute lack of grit at the bottom of your cup) vs the aspect of having to buy a replacement every now and then depending on your consumption?* The only part that will ever fail you over the lifetime of the product (which'll be 5+ years easily) is the rubber seal on the plunger. When you're done brewing, you NEED to make sure you are washing that seal with your hand to get the coffee oils on it down to a minimum. Every 2-3 weeks, take off the seal and wash the area underneath, as well as the seal itself with some dishwashing soap and water. It'll guarantee longevity.Look, if you're a fan of coffee, just buy it. To do more research about the Aeropress there are a ton of videos on youtube or other forms of reviews on various other forums.I recommend checking out James Hoffman's Aeropress series on youtube if you're interested in the science and a breakdown of a better "default" technique to follow.I'd buy this for any coffee fans in a heartbeat. This coffee maker is awesome.End of review.

Fantastic espresso maker
This is such a simple contraption and yet it can make amazing espresso, easy to clean as well. Much better option than buying and maintaining those complex espresso machines.

Makes great coffee!
TL;DR=====Well packaged. Fast delivery. Original Item. Pricey compared to the US ($30 - which is around Rs. 2200), but this is probably the best price on offer in India (Rs. 3233), so go for it.=====I have a 12 years old Morphy Richards espresso machine and I've not been using it much as it makes terrible coffee. Of late I came across James Hoffman videos on YouTube and after that, I did a lot of research by changing beans, different roast types etc. Used pre-ground coffee to different grinders, started being very precise with my measurements etc. but didn't have much success. The taste improved a bit but I could never brew a cup that would make me go wow. Secondly in my home, I am the main coffee drinker and the machine requires brewing of a minimum of two cups so I ended up wasting a lot of coffee. So I finally decided to ditch my Morphy Richards machine and started looking for alternatives. Good quality espresso machines are expensive so decided that it wasn't worth it.I've been reading a lot of reviews on Aeropress and I was a bit sceptical. So I took my own time to do the research. Finally, I decided to take the plunge and ordered one from Amazon. I've been using the inverted Aeropress method for the past few days and I've been very satisfied with the overall result. It's not the same as espresso, but it makes good tasting coffee that you can use for making Cappuccino, Latte etc.So far I have tried Blue Tokai dark Vienna roast and another brand (don't remember the name) and with both the results have been good. Blue Tokai was better of the two. I have also purchased a cheap generic Chinese burr grinder and a weighing scale for precise measurements. That said, the scoop that comes with the package generally always measures up to 15 grams so most people should be fine without a scale.Aeropress is all plastic except for the rubber plunger seal, but it seems to be well made and built to last. The package also came with 350 micro filters which will hopefully last a long time given that the paper filters can be washed dried and reused a few times.Overall - Highly recommended.

A great brewer
Its an impressive brewer, from choosing my coffee to grinding to brewing and drinking takes abiout 5 minutes, which absolutely amazing when you need to leave the house in a hurry. It is quite hard to make a bad cup of coffee from it, and is very consistent. And the cleaning process is so quick as well, the product is built well too.The only precaution to keep in mind is that make sure your plunger is pushed all the way through to extend the life. You can also reuse the filters upto 2-4 times in my experience. After that the coffee starts to get gritty because fine particulate escapes.

If you haven't discovered Aeropress, you're in for a treat!
I'm very attached to cold brew coffee (takes out the acidity, leaves smooth, bold flavor) and I make delicious hot lattes with fresh buffalo milk/cream daily. Once I switched to grinding whole beans and brewing fresh with this rig (it does cold or hot, your choice), I no longer have to make a bunch of cold brew at once and keep it in the frig, slowly getting flatter by the day. This makes FRESH, tasty coffee, better than anything I've ever had. Yeah, it takes a few minutes, but I like the routine and the end product is sooo good. Clean up is fast and easy, too. It's no coincidence that there are world competitions brewing with this rig. Get an Aeropress and you'll never go back to your old methods, I promise.
