This is a great book if you are recovering from PTSD, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, etc. It was recommended to me by my therapist and I am so glad I purchased it 🙃

So Informative
Great book by someone who was willing to be open to new technology and study by others. There is hope to heal your central nervous system and there are people who do the work to help you restore. It is real because I have experienced much of this myself and now I understand what is going on. Hope!!

One of the best books I've read
I had to read this book in one of my college counseling classes. I was glued to it from the first page. The author define how our bodies interpret trauma responses and why we feel those icky gut wreching feelings. It was eye opening. I lent this book out to a colleague and never got it back. This is my second copy. I am working through the workbook that wasn't offered when I initially I bought this in college. I highly recommend this. If you read this and don't find it informative, at least you have a new perspective to think about.

Informative and healing
This book is very indeepth. It goes detail into the medical history of psychology, how it's treatments have developed, and how the body is effected by PTSD caused by sexual trauma. This book has helped me heal.

Workbook is a waste of money. Just get the book.
The actual book is good. I agree with another review that the workbook is useless. Print is horrible and hard to read as words are blended together. It’s just a summary of the book with lines to write notes and at the end a sentence for you to write an analysis of the issues and actions.

Healing your thinking
A great book on the scientific workings of the brain, tips on how to live a life of mindfulness.
