Comforting for the baby
We recently had a house fire that took all of our kitties from us, except for this little guy who was lucky to escape. He then spent about 4 days outside before asking the neighbors for help. When we brought him home, he spent a long time looking for the others. He’d never been without his siblings or momma, so I ordered this. The one we’d used previously was great- but it was also lost in the fire. I knew it was just what he needed.Sure enough, he’s in pure bliss when he cuddles with it. It makes me so happy that it brings him comfort. It has a good, strong heartbeat too!

Our saving grace. Best purchase ever. SO worth it. Do not even hesitate to purchase.
I got this for my baby kitten when he had to be quarantined in a confined space and was really sick. We weren’t able to hold him— but he was only a few weeks old, and he desperately craved love and physical touch— it was so painful not to be able to snuggle him or give him the comfort he needed, so I bought him this calmeroo. 🥹 Not only did it work, but he immediately calmed down, stopped crying, and started to actually sleep for the first time in a week. This little calmeroo became our kitten’s companion during such a rough time, where he almost didn't make it. He snuggled up next to the calmeroo every time he’d go to sleep, and then, once he started feeling better, he even started to wrestle the calmeroo! When I find pictures, I’ll update my review with them. I firmly believe that this calmeroo cat helped heal my kitten, who is doing very well today. 🙏🏻 Best purchase ever. I would hands down, recommend. If you’re thinking of it, don’t even hesitate purchasing.

Nice quality
Works right out of box. The ‘heartbeat’ still going strong after 5 days. Our puppy plays with it as a litter mate and occasionally lays on it. But it works as a distraction for puppy mind. Excellent workmanship, sturdy stitching all around. The hook and loop closure is sturdy as well. Even though this calmeroo does not do what I anticipated it to do, I would definitely recommend using it for the newbie’s.

Very sweet
I was hoping Willow would like this as she is a single cat now, but she didn’t seem too interested overall. But then I found her like this. So I guess there is something to it. The toy is very soft. The heartbeat probably works well for kittens. It’s a wonderful idea overall and I’m going to hold onto it- for Willow and for future kittens we may have.

Must have for new puppies
Bought this and took it with me to pick up new puppy. Allowed littermates to play with it to get their scent on it, to cut down on separation anxiety and it worked like a charm. He slept through the night in his crate without incident. The heartbeat sound is soothing and soft. It is easy to get to through a velcro pocket in the inside that allows you to turn it on and off. Battery has lasted already through 2 days without having ot be replaced

Just Buy a Regular Stuffed Animal
I'm currently fostering newborn kittens. In doing research on how to raise them, I found the Calmeroos Kitty. It's also recommended on The Kitten Lady website. The Kitty comes with two heat packs that last 36 hours. Unfortunately, the pouch to place the heat packs is underneath. 24 hours later the pack was still warm, but barely. Given all the padding on top of the Calmeroos, the kittens can't feel it unless you flip it over. I used electronic heating pad under their blanket instead. The heart is very faint and sounds more like a ticking clock or watch. Since newborn kittens can't hear, it's not beneficial until they're older. Because the heart is so faint, the kittens can't even feel the vibration. If you really want the sound, there are better devices that mimic heartbeats.Changing the battery on the heart is a pain. A tiny screw holds the compartment in place. Prying it open was difficult. I had to use tweezers and work very carefully not to break it. I got tired of hassling with it and just left the compartment open. One thing I really appreciate is the Calmeroos Kitty is machine washable. My kittens do like this kitty very much. However, I've used less expensive stuffed animals in the past when fostering kittens and found them to be just as effective. In conclusion, save your money on this. Invest in a soft stuffed animal, a heating pad, and a device that mimics a heartbeat.

Saved My Cat's Life
I NEVER write reviews, but I feel like I have to for this product in particular...Our vet had a litter of kittens brought to them the day they were born, with the guy saying that he believed the mother had been run over by a car. The vet found homes for all of the kittens, giving one to my wife and I.Having never raised a freshly born kitten, I had no idea what to do - so I scoured the internet trying to do my best to prevent this adorable little ball of fur from dying on us. Besides doing the obvious like keeping a heating pad near them, keeping the room at a certain temperature, and feeding him every two hours, I happened to read that the number one killer of kittens at that age is stress - especially when they have been separated from their mother before they can open their eyes.Scaring me into action, I found this product which seemed to solve all of our immediate issues, but I thought paying $40 for a product that may or may not help was a bit ridiculous and I was over thinking things. I ended up buying one and confessing to my wife, telling her "it'll either be the stupidest or the best thing I've ever bought."My cat snuggled with his kitty every day since and has become his favorite toy easily, and we often figure out where he slept the night before solely from where he had brought his Calmeroo. After he had grown into a massive and very healthy cat, we unfortunately learned from the vet that none of his siblings made it - with the only difference in care being that we bought one of these toys and they didn't.If you're on the fence and you think it's not worth it, I was there. Looking back after what I know now - I wouldn't hesitate to spend the money again, because as far as I'm concerned $40 is a small price to pay to save the life of the best cat I've ever had.

What a fantastic product.
I am fostering kittens who came to me at 2 weeks old. I had them on a heating pad with a hot water bottle but the second I put this cat in, they curled up to it and finally looked relaxed. It is a great product and after 2 weeks the heartbeat is going strong and the hot packs are wonderful. I have replaced them every 3 days with hand warmer style packs which are easy to find. I love that the product is made in Canada, comes with batteries!!! and warmer packs. And it is washable, which is great with kittens who aren't litter trained yet. Highly recommended.

Amazing
This is the best thing i've ever bought online. I have a baby kitten who is 10 days old this toy is amazing. The heart beat is so comforting my tiny baby loves it. Its washable and the heat pack is so awesome. Buy this toy if you have a fur baby who needs some comfort

Heartbeat is great, but toy not very durable.
The heartbeat and the size of the toy are perfect for puppy to sleep with. Definitely calms him down. However, after just a couple of rough play sessions (just a few minutes each), one of the Velcro strips became unstitched. It’s still usable, but won’t last much longer for a teething puppy.

Works great
We used this for a rescue dog we had for a few months. She would cuddle it and calm her down. We have since got a miniature dachshund coming to us at 2Lbs and with the hand warmer and little heart beat on she finds lots of comfort when she’s not being held

Cute
Such a cute toy. I love that it matches my dog's markings and is a Canadian company that donates to ensure dogs in shelters are fed. 😊I do advise, for people looking for something to help adult dogs with anxiety, that you should not give this toy to your dog without supervision. They may open the toy up or try to "kill" the source of the heart beat , and could get injured doing so as it's hard plastic, electronics, and a battery. My dog lost 6 of her 9 puppies before being rescued and has pretty severe separation anxiety. When I first put the heartbeat in the toy she just wanted to rip it out and I had to take the heart out and let her know she wasn't allowed to destroy it. She learned pretty quickly that was a no and is very good with it now! 😁It does work for anxiety, too. When she was really scared of the New Year's fireworks, I put the heartbeat in the toy and she curled up with it and fell asleep. It seems to have actually helped ease her stress .
