Love this book for my three year old, you can play games in English as well, which is what he mostly does now. It has kept him very entertained in some situations where it required him being still for an extended period. One downside-I know the pages say “no tear pages”, but my sons almost one year old sister ripped one page in half before my husband could stop her. So maybe not as durable if you have little siblings!!

Update! The new learning pad works perfectly. I’m happy to report that based on my review (included below) the company was in touch and offered to send a replacement immediately. I was happy with their response time, their customer service, as well as the ultimate experience of their product. I would happily recommend this product to anyone learning French or teaching their kids bilingual French/English skills. Previous review when original shipment was problematic: “I would like to simply send it back but because I waited one month to use it for the first time (bought it early as a valentines gift) the window of opportunity for returns has closed. I would be perfectly happy if the seller would send me a new one as it is possible that it is simply a malfunction, but alas I don’t have another recourse so I’m writing a bad review. I bought it a month ago, opened the box, saw that it was functioning, then left it on a shelf for one month, then when we tried to use it for the first time with my child it doesn’t function. I changed the batteries and the voice chirps up initially when the batteries are first set into place, but none of the buttons function so we can use it even though we know the batteries are providing power. There must be some circuit problem somewhere. Please do send us a new one and we can send this back and remove this bad review.” Thanks!

We loved this book for the first few uses thought it is very glitchy now. I have just replaced the batteries and as you can see by the videos attached it is not working and will teach incorrectly. It keeps glitching and repeating letter “e”. No matter which mode it is on, game or learning. I have checked for bumps or debris that may be in the way - it’s just a glitch, and doesn’t always turn off. The book itself is quite flimsy and I’m surprised it hasn’t broken. I purchased through Amazon for $29.99

I played with this before wrapping for a Christmas gift! It was easy to use and I know my grand child will love it! I am surprised such a well-designed learning toy is a aipblw at this low price!

Some pages offer only one language OR the other. This makes little sense.

It did not work. It just repeats one word over and over. We tried changing batteries, tried all the buttons. It's useless, complete waste of money. After I had issues I went back to the reviews and looked and this is apparently normal for this product. Do not buy
