Doesn't hold together well
The poles do not lock together and the wind pull it up and poles fell out.

8 posts is better than 6 - - - Hopefully.
I had a 6 post version of this canopy for two years and left it up year round. Last year we had record snowfall, and the framework collapsed under the weight of several inches of heavy snow. I purchased this 8 post version, which I believe will be substantially stronger and able to withstand more weight. NOTE: Shelter Logic doesn't warrant against collapse from snow on canopy.I intend to stand two 2x4's up as supports for center beam to further support the structure. We have a hot tub under the canopy and taking the canopy up and down isn't really an option.I'm reasonably confident that the 8 post version along with standing up the 2x4's if a heavy snow is predicted will provide the needed support. The canopy itself didn't even tear when the old frame collapsed, and I still have it. I was tempted to use it on the new frame because the material seems thicker, but decided to use the new canopy. Hopefully it's as strong as the old one. I still have the old one if it does fail.Update 3/21/2015 - We made it through winter#1. Didn't have any issues and the added reinforcement of the 2x4 supports wasn't needed, since we didn't really have any major snowfalls. I really think this is a value even if I only get two seasons. It's intended use is as a temporary structure, and we have ours up year round, and it holds up remarkably well.

Well worth the money
We use our ShelterLogic carport on our elevated pool deck to enjoy shade on hot summer days while swimming in the pool. Our carport goes up in the spring and comes down in the fall. We have it properly anchored to the deck so it stays rocksolid even on the windiest of days. It truly stands up to the season long weather abuse that gets thrown at it.We have had wonderful luck with our ShelterLogic carport and we would highly recommend it to anyone interested in looking for affordable shade.

It was easy, but it would definitely better to have another ...
I just got this canopy 3 days ago, and put it up yesterday(April 24,2015). I am a 50 year old lady, 5'4", not too strong, kind of handy, not that much though if you ask my husband! I did it by myself, with a little help from my 13 old daughter(not so eager to help). It took me about 4 hours stopping for drink and a snack. It was easy, but it would definitely better to have another adult to help. I purchased 4 extra Anchors 15" Kit#10073-ShelterLogic, you should because it does not seem very strong, also I am going to buy 8 more of the anchor that come with the canopy part#10431to put on each base feet. So far I am happy with my purchase, hope that I will get my money's worth. I did not have anybody to take pictures while I was assembling it, wish I did:(

Pretty good conopy
Made it through hurricane Ian except for one tube because a oak tree landed on it.

Well designed light duty shelter
Bought this 14 months ago and set it up on my patio with walls on three sides. Once I set it up, I left it up continuously. We liked this shelter because it is gave great size for the price and the canopy was well designed to fit the frame. Especially liked that the canopy overhung the frame and maximized the area that was kept out of the sun and rain. We had plenty of strong winds and sun in Hawaii and the shelter has stood up well. I am writing this review now because over the last three months we have started to notice leaks in the canopy. The leaks are occurring where the canopy and the top cross bar meet, as you would expect. Still very happy with the purchase. Plan on using a higher duty cover as a replacement, hope I can find one that fit as well as the last one.

Good product
Follow instructions and it’s pretty straight forward. Need two to do it. Appears to be sturdy and hopefully durable. Will get back with you in after winter and update.Put the tarp on before you erect it. I know that you think you know a shortcut Bubba but you don’t. I know now because I disassembled it and then followed the directions. Easy-Peazy.

Lasted 2.5 years, only taken in for 2-3 storms
We bought this as a backyard shade shelter in Oct 2012, and the shade tarp just disintigrated this last week (A tear was noticed on Tuesday, by Thursday it was torn from seam to seam). Two and a half years of use, I think that's pretty respectable - lasted longer than fancy patio gazebos. The only times we took it down (the tarp only - poles remained) were for high-wind storms, and it was a one person job for both take down and putting it back up. The only other maintenance we did on it was melting along the side to stop fraying. Our next one we will reinforce the long edges with Gorilla-ish tape.We will be buying a replacement tarp if its offered! The poles are still in great shape.

Anchoring Base - plastic and not metal w/three warped out of shape; prefer metal.
Hi: I have NOT put up the ShelterLogic Canopy yet. I did check all the pieces and found the anchoring base made of plastic would not be sturdy enough to hold up the metal uprights. Some of the plastic anchoring bases [3] were twisted out of shape and not useable. Must have been damaged while in transit to me. Why NOT installed yet? Local municipal codes re: temporary structures and the physical location to place the ShelterLogic Canopy! I would like to return it. Please advise! Thank you, Ray Mau
