We use this to help my elderly mom get in & out of the truck.

The front step became too high for me, as the impact to my lower extremity joints caused pain and unsteadiness. I placed this low step stool to one side of the stair, so I could hold onto the rail and go down a smaller rise. This works fantastic! When building your forever home consider stairs out the front door or off the porch that have a short rise and long run (short in height - long in width) so when you get old, or are carrying a big load, it is easier to climb and descend the stairs.

My husband bought a new pickup and it is very tall. Now he opens the door for me and places the step and helps me in and out of the pickup. We have been married for 40 years!

So far it has helped.A high step getting into house and getting into bed.Put your shoes on 1st. The knobs on step will hurt your feetand might throw your balance off if not prepared. Have someone with you 1st time so you can feel the step.

I bought this to assist my 92 year old grandmother getting into bed. It has been very helpful. The only downside is the platform has a bumpy surface which can be a little rough to stand on with bare feet.
