I have a toyota mark x, at the time of buying the vehicle it was difficult to find a scan tool which would connect to the jdm odb protocol. After buying 2 seperate scan tools (creader/bluedriver) i still couldnt connect to my vehicle, until i found this scan tool made by Xtool. It is an excellent tool which offers an eclectic range of bidirectional controls for my vehicle. It has a great battery life and a user friendly interface. The support team whom i had emailed before purshasing the tool, to make sure it would work for my vehicle, are fantastic. Specifically Evy, who has provided me with prompt and clear communications for my questions and queries. Software needs some work
Identifying vehicle by Its VIN doesnât work, tool inserts Chinese characters when attempting to type in a VIN. Difficult to connect the OBDII-16 connector to a Toyota vehicle.

Many functions available, seems to be professional quality tool
I'm not a professional, but I've determined that I'm going to do as much of the work myself as I can to keep my Nissan Frontier running for as long as possible.I had a $30 code reader but watching different u2b videos showed me that there were many other things to see inside the computer than just "your gas cap is loose." This tool has more functions and readouts than I'll probably ever know how to use, but it is easy to use and very convenient, being blue-tooth enabled.If you have a Japanese auto, and want the ability to see what a professional mechanic would see, including real-time data, this is the tool you're looking for.

A must for Japanese car make
This tool works great on my older Japan-built Toyota and Lexus. The zero point calibration is a big plus. After-sales customer service and technical support is excellent as well.
