Salt Lick
I can't give it 5 stars because I bought it for my niece and therefore never used it. I bought it for her because she loves salt so much that she sometimes licks the salt licks intended for horses. I don't think that's very safe, so I found this while looking for a salt lick that was safe for human consumption. Her husband is going to mount it on the wall for her, and I can't wait to see how that turns out. The only thing I can speak to is that the salt tablet is nice and solid. I was afraid it would be falling apart as soon as we removed it from the box. The best part is how affordable it is. I expect these 2 tablets to last her a year or more, but even if she goes through them in a month, it's not exactly a huge line item in the budget.

I did understand this before I purchased but everyone was raving over the great flavor. Honestly
I had never tried salt blocks and had a few friends talk me into getting them. There is nothing wrong with them and they serve the purpose BUT if your purpose is to grill (outside on a real grill), they are not what "grilling" should be.I have (2) big Green Eggs and we do some serious grilling weekly. All they do is "fry" your food on the salt blocks on open flames of the grill. I did understand this before I purchased but everyone was raving over the great flavor.Honestly, it made my steaks too salty and they just tasted pan fried with grilled/smoke flavor. I rarely add salt to my food but I thought it would give it a nice subtle salt flavor but it was really too much.If you like your steaks pan fried with salt, get them and use them in the oven or on the stove.I did not add any seasoning (salt) to the steaks before or after cooking. We have only used them twice since Christmas. Now they are just sitting outside getting in the way.

I like these
i'm new to salt blocks, but these are fun for when guests come and you need unique presentation! I like to cook lemon garlic peeled shrimp on the block 1-2mins per side. Heat the block SLOWLY on the grill. Very slowly, the block can crack! Get the block hotter than hades, pick it off the grill somehow without burning yourself, and put it on a high heat trivet to bring inside to cook the shrimp right on the table! Great!

The price was right but....
The blocks arrived in a very thin padded bag, and it is clear that the corners of each of the blocks received impact at some point. I’m sure they work just fine, but if you’re looking for something that looks more presentable these are not your salt blocks.

(6 bricks tiles total) Some of them DO look like they're broken
Its ok, I ordered 3, (6 bricks tiles total) Some of them DO look like they're broken.. Which saddens me, but they're nice, pink, heavy. NO "FREE" gift included and like I said I ordered 3.. LOL But thats the least of my concern.. Happy with the purchase.

Product is OK, but food too salty.
The salt-block itself is OK as it is as described by the seller. But I found out these are cumbersome to handle and lots of work involved to actually cook on it. I do not think we will use it again as the meat cooked on it became too salty as the food absorbed too much salt during cooking.

Fun, different way to cook
I have a glass top stove so I placed the bricks on a wok ring and heated slowly per instructions. I was worried one brick would break or shatter due a crack noticed when received. However, the bricks worked perfectly. It does take a lot of time to use due to the time it takes to heat them up but it was worth it. Looking forward to using these many times in the future. A fun novelty kitchen gadget.

Good value, but two of the blocks came with the corners broken off ... they can still be used, but not as visually appealing as they could be. Breakage did not happen in shipping... they were wrapped that way. Still a good value.
