Q: Does this pan come with a lifetime warranty?

Don't know about a warranty. This pan is awesome. I used it for about one month and had problems with sticking. I took a brillo pad to it and cleaned the seasoning out. Then I washed it good, used a thin coat of grape seed oil in it and put in the oven at 400° for an hour. I repeated seasoning it again and have been using it with no problem for the last couple of months. I put water in it after using and later dump the water and use a stiff nylon brush to clean off any remaining food. Don't use soap. Dry and apply a thin coat of oil and your ready for your next cook. Mine is a small pan that I use for omletes. I first cook a tablespoon of diced bacon. This makes sure that the pan is well lubricated. This pan is a little heavy, so it won't easily warp. Love this pan. Not quite as good as a non stick pan, but I'm tired of those pans losing there non stick surface after a year. This pan I believe will last a lifetime if properly cared for.

Q: Is it still safe to use when coating seems chipped?

There is no coating to chip. It is pre-seasoned at the factory and it's deep blue in color. As you use, it will go away. But keep applying oil after each use like seasoning and a black layer (patina) will develop. For me it took like 6 months because we don't use everyday.

Q: Is it ok that the dark blue color came off the bottom of pan? Is this normal for this pan, or was it overheated?

That factory coating is temporary and actually very unusual for a carbon steel pan. You want to season that pan with an oil like avocado the same way you would a cast iron pan.
