Little House 4-Book Box Set: Little House in the Big Woods, Farmer Boy, Little House on the Prairie, On the Banks of Plum Creek

These books are lived by all! If you haven’t read them they are a classic! These were more reasonable than a lot of the used ones. I was excited to find! Life on the prairie as told by Laura. Amusing and character building. Life was hard, but true grit pulls through.

Excellent quality book set. Reminds me of my childhood!

These are great books

I discovered Laura Ingalls Wilder when I was about 8 years old. I enjoyed her writings and looked forward to reading each book of the 11-part Series, from her earliest years to her life as a married woman. The 4-part series I got is a Christmas present for my eight-year old neighbor

As a child, my dad read us books from his collection such as Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle and Charles Dickens. I remember my third grade teacher read the class Little House in the Big Woods. I anticipated every day of going back. I went home after she read the story describing Laura's tree house and asked my dad, "Will you make a swing for me and Linda in the trees?" He said, "Good idea." I have sentimental memories of Laura Ingalls Wilder. I always wanted to read more of her stories. I could never have children, I put off walking into a bookstore, taking a potential risk of being asked by a cashier, "Do you have a daughter?" I recently went on Amazon to buy books and typed in her name in the search. I sought used paperbacks I am going to put wear on for $2.50 each in a set of four. I'm an artist, so I cried. Not only had I hit the Laura Ingalls Wilder jackpot but the Garth Williams illustrations are beautifully hand-drawn. There's a bit of shelf wear but they came in the condition I expected, well-loved. It was a deal I was satisfied with. Laura Ingalls Wilder's characters are vivid and her stories are relatable. It doesn't matter your age. If you've ever made a tree house, thought deer were too cute to eat, or been bitten by yellow jackets...you'll want more.

They were well received. Very good books for early English learners.

This books will scare young child who pays attention to every detail. 1 chapter describes slaughtering of animals in details. It's a horror book for young child. Some reviews mentioned reading this book ro 5 and 6 y.o. NO! Their young and very imaginative minds are not ready for these bloody scenes!

Great classics

This is one of the best books for little children. If your kids have finished the Enid ablution collection they can go for these.

Wonderful set

My 9 year old daughter is enjoying reading this set of books. She is an able reader, and it is nice to find stories that have gentle, educational themes rather than her moving on to teenager's fiction too soon.
