what is a oem fender flare

OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer, and is usually in reference to parts that came with the vehicle from the factory, as apposed to "Aftermarket" parts. Fender Flare = An extension of the vehicle fender typically around the lip of the wheel well, fender flares provide additional coverage protection from the tires slinging stuff up for the side of your vehicle especially when using wider or oversized tires. Do i have to remove any of the factory molding to i stall these? Besides fender flares.. i dont have the flares

I did not have to remove any factory installed molding or trim. I have the chrome package, and all that fit fine. The only challenge I found, you have to drill a hole for the flap, and then screw it in with the supplied screw. I found the screw to be soft and easy to damage its face. So, I had some black paint on hand to touch that up. The protection film in my case was not the best at sticking to the truck. But, I made that work. Stu
