The best purchase made on Amazon!
At first I was hesitant because of the price, I did not know if it would be worth this accessory for my gaming laptop. Now I can't live without it! My laptop has an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor with an Nvidia RTX 3050 video card. In short it is always hot.I attach in a picture the normal temperature of my laptop- 82 Degrees Celsius or 180 fahrenheit for the processor.- 73 Degrees Celsius or 163 fahrenheit for the video card.Well after having it for 15 days I attach the temperature reading image:- 41 Degrees Celsius or 105 fahrenheit for the processor.- 50 Degrees Celsius or 122 fahrenheit for the video card.I achieved what I never thought I would achieve!!! Stable FPS without being strangled by the bottleneck generated by thermal overheating!!!! That and being able to play in bed for hours without burning my legs. Many will wonder about the noise, I also thought the same as everyone ... is it a jet turbine? Well I can tell you that when I was with friends watching Netflix or chatting at dinner I had no complaints about the noise and you will only hear it if you want to pay full attention to the fan. It's a white noise. The average gamer will understand me... it's like having your fans playing but not pushing the video card and processor to the limit. It's very well thought out and has two ports on the back that act as a bridge. I mean you connect one to the laptop and the one in the back you can use, I have connected usb flash drives without any problem so you don't lose the usb port. You can also connect it to a charger so as not to take power away from the laptop. It is important to say that the cable that comes with it is braided and is of excellent quality. What I did not read in any review are the lights, in particular I do not like having hundreds of lights when I'm playing, maybe I'm old-fashioned but I do not like the RGB unless you can control it as in the case of Razer Synapse, well you press 3 seconds the RGB lights button and it turns off which is amazing for me and not distract me.On the other hand, it has legs that adapt to various angles to maintain a visually more comfortable position. It also has grids with dust covers for easy cleaning. They really thought of everything. I wondered before I bought it how it would draw air in. Well, it sucks it in through the back and brings it in through the bottom. That's why my computer is always cold. As my laptop has the grilles at the bottom, the cold air enters and therefore the heatsink expels it to the sides.I hope my opinion is useful to someone, believe me you will not regret your purchase. In short, it is to protect your laptop from costly failures due to overheating in the long run. Gamers will understand what I am talking about.

So much better than...
So, My little laptop that could, was stuttering and heating up in a big way. After some research and seeing this uses squirrel fans (old timers call the style of blower) I believed this to be a far superior design.....I was not disappointed, it does get a bit loud but I use a headset, so I don't notice...I was able to play Cyberpunk while streaming (poorly, but I did it) whereas my laptop would have stuttered and stopped with just cyberpunk without the fan.The design of the feet is great, you can have it fully extended and push it to the wall and the feet will not hit the edge....it's a little thing, but losing your laptop to a poor design is a real concern. This is worth the upgrade from a $20 laptop pad...this is a good cooling solution to push some more power out of your precious lappy.

Great Cooling, Good Ergonomics, Nice Looking. Included Cable is Bad, Rubber Seal Needs Improvement.
The media could not be loaded. This is a great cooler, it performs really well if your laptop fits. There's some measurements in my images to help you decide if this cooler fits your lap before making the jump.ABOUT THE USB CABLE:*The included USB cable is not rated for the amount of voltage the cooler needs, just get another cable rated for at least 5V and you'll get a significant increase in the amount of air the cooler blows. (I got a 30v rated, 1.8 meters USB cable for like $2 USD at a local electronics store.)*Connect the USB cable to a 5V phone charger instead of your laptop, you'll get another significant increase in the air blown and spare your laptop from any possible shock it may get from the cooler if it were to fail. (Connecting two USB cables with their own power sources increases the air blown even more, but it's much less of a difference than just using one new cable. I included a video showing this).*Turning off the cooler's LEDs (press the LED button for 3 seconds) bumps up the blower's rpms a little bit, I don't know for how much but it's audible and depending o the load I've seen another 1°C decrease when they're turned off.ABOUT THE FANS:*The fans are not insanely loud, you'll not hear them in level 1 or 2 if you have anything playing, either on the laptop's speakers, headphones, tv or whatever.*The fans do have a certain drone that's right on my limit of bearable, but changing the USB cable and using a phone charger reduces this drone and any "annoying" fan noise to the point that I sometimes forget it. This might be because now the fans are working with the amount of voltage they were designed for.*Also while gaming, the cooler's fan noise now seems to blend with the laptop's fan noise, so I really barely notice it.*Plus, the laptop's screen somewhat diverts the fan noise. It really is not as loud or as annoying as you might think.ABOUT THE DESIGN:*The box is pretty, the included documents and stickers are pretty as well. The instructions manual is very easy to read. The Company's message is cute and appreciated.*I really like the design of the cooler, it's sleek and not over the top. The LEDs are nice and sensible. The rubber feet are great, the buttons are ok.*I think that a rubber seal with a hollow tubular design akin to those used in cars would conform better to any shape and create a better seal for a wider range of laptops.*The cooling area seems to be a compromise between the two sizes the Klim Mistral uses, and I think it's a good choice, however maybe increasing the sealing area 1 inch in every direction might fit much more different laptops bottom designs. This can be done with just a different rubber shape, the cooler doesn't need to be modified for it. You can even DIY.*The cooling area tray cutout is smaller than in the Mistral and that creates more pressure under the laptop which in turns forces air into it much better.*The retention things that also push the laptop down in the Mistral are not missed here. The laptop is heavy enough, and when gaming it's fans counter any leak, BUT because of my laptop's size I can't use the included plastic retention thingy and it does slides off a little bit when the cooler is raised at a sharper angle.*Because the intake is on the back you can freely use it on any fabric without choking the cooler. I use it on bed all the time, or while on the sofa with a cover over my lap. It's comfy and there are no sharp or pointy things on the underside that can dig into your legs.ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE:*I got a total of 8°C to 10°C of temperature decrease in certain situations with this cooler with the aforementioned cable and phone charger.*My laptop uses the factory GPU OC (RTX 3070) and I turned off Processor Performance Boost (Ryzen 7 5800H). With these settings and the cooler's max speed my laptop struggles to get to 70°C while gaming on really high quality settings.*I can feel the air pushed out of my laptop with the cooler in it's lower setting and with the laptop off. It really does work at pushing air through the machine.*In pause menus the temps drop dramatically to around 54°C in about 10 seconds.*My laptop model has a really good cooling system so there are situations where I don't get a big decrease in temperature, but the cooler helps the laptop to keep higher wattage and frequency clocks consistently.*After a long gaming session I leave the cooler on at max for 2 to 3 minutes after turning off my laptop because it really helps to cool it down completely.ABOUT VALUE:*I paid around $40 USD because I had a gift card and clipped the $5 coupon Klim's offering so I think I got a great deal for that price. HOWEVER for the original price I think Klim can include a better USB cable and a better rubber seal, that's why I couldn't give it 5 stars.RETURNING OR KEEPING:All in all this is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to use their laptops on a bed, or over some thick cover, or just as a stand. I WILL be keeping this cooler.

Causes Overheating
Its a neat concept but does not do its job. I used it for a couple weeks with my laptop running hotter than it ever had before. My laptop throttled the CPU power many many times because it got too hot, it had never done that before using this cooling pad. Once I switched back to my old laptop stand that doesn't even have a fan, the overheating issues stopped. It is insanely loud too.It is worth noting that my laptop has side and rear exhaust so some of the exhaust is probably getting recycled, despite the included exhaust deflectors being installed (they also will get knocked out of place with the slightest bump). One good thing I can say about it is that the air filters are a cool concept to keep your fans cleaner but if it heats your laptop to dangerous levels, as it does, its not really worth it.
