I purchased these fixtures and the electronics burnt up in them within a week. My customer informed me she could smell smoke after using them a few times and they failed to come back on. I inspected them and the electronics in junction box melted the plastic. I’m a licensed electrician these lights were installed properly and I installed new switch also. The company refused to let me return them only being a few months old and I sent a second email explaining exactly what happened but never got a response. I would strongly urge anyone not to purchase these light fixtures.

The Aluminium wires require the use of Purple wire nuts in most cases in the US because if you twist the Aluminium and Copper wires together is causes a chemical reaction. The wires are also thin and thus difficult to work into the purple ire nuts, and standard electrical box hold downs. I had to wrap the wire with electrical tape a dozen times to get a standard romex wire hold down to work. The cheapest I found the purple wire nuts for was about $30 for ten of them, and each fixture needs 2. The wires are insulated in the colors standard for China (Blue is common and Brown is Live). Once installed the fixture works as expected but the details above would have been helpful before I began the install. I don't recall if I checked the other reviews first, but if I did I don't recall seeing this information.

I used this fixture to replace a square recessed ceiling "box" light. The color quality was good, the light bright and uniform. Installation was straightforward. Unfortunately, the product failed after just 11 months of use, which is completely unacceptable for an LED fixture. I requested a return through Amazon but the vendor refused. As far as I can tell, warranty on this product is meaningless.

I ordered twice - these lights are bright and so simple to install. They draw very little electric current and brighter than expected. They do not have a ground wire so to protect from any potential electrical hazard I did purchase at Home Depot metal junction boxes ((90 cents each+90 cents cover plate)), grounded the wire from the source (electrical panel) to the body of the J-box and inserted the LED driver inside the J-box to keep it all inside the metal box in case of any issues with the LED driver or the very light gauge wires that feed each light pod. This created a make shift "can" similar to traditional recessed lighting cans that are bulky and twice (or more) expensive. I nailed the J-box to attic rafters but with a cover plate these could have easily just sat on top of the ceiling drywall.

Too many cons:-They provide you with very short wires to attach to. See the vendor picture and you'll know what I am talking about.-According to electrical code you can not leave wires connections without securing them in junction box,. Since this fixture does not come with a junction box so you have to buy separate box to secure wires connectors from causing any sparks.-The wires are very thin so it is very hard to splice them.Only pro I can think of is that it is very thin.I have bought lot s of recessed lights from many different vendors in Amazon and none of them were as bad.

Got this to improve the ceiling light in my 1964 home bedroom. Old box stuck up in between 2x4s in the middle of a bedroom and was designed for old high voltage incandescent bulbs. I was able to leave the actual box and fit the spring clips at the edges after wiring in the power supply. A bit confusing color scheme of wires (brown is hot and blue wire is neutral) which required a few minutes if research online. This was "do-able" by a 67 year old guy without much hassle.Room now is wonderfully bright and can see to work in there. I was happy I got the "warm" color light, and think the cooler light would have been too bright. Have several other rooms with similar lighting problems and will probably be buying more later.

These lights are overall pretty decent. I bought four for our living room. Three of them matched well but teh fourth had a very noticeable yellow tint to it. On another one teh driver unit failed within two weeks. I bought three more for future replacement (never know how long some of the companies will be in business or how often they'll discontinue products), and I used one to replace the yellowish one from the first batch, and used its driver to replace the failed one. That driver also failed within two weeks. So, I like the light panels overall. They are finished well and have bright uniform light output. But the drivers are not good at all, and the color temp might not be well controlled.
