Everybody needs to buy one of these
Cressman ship is phenomenal, customer service is great. This is literally the next coming of Christ when it comes to changing oil. No mess, quick and easy with multiple redundant fail safe. Significantly better than the fomoto valve. It does not hang down and looks completely factory. Very nice!

15 foot pounds is max!!
When they say fifteen foot pounds is the max they mean it. Unfortunately I forgot that when it says max it does not mean start here but that you need to build up to it.

Leaked and broke
Little bit more expensive than most but I liked the design. Bought it and waited until the next oil change to install. They stressed in the instructions exactly how tight it should be installed. I followed exactly. After a couple days I noticed a drip type leak underneath my truck. I laid down and just reached under to tighten the cap on the plug by hand hoping that’s all it was. The drain plug snapped off!!! Oil everywhere. Luckily I was able to get the piece in the pan out. Reinstalled the factory drain plug and refilled 4 qrts of oil. I sent the manufacturer an email over a week ago but have yet to hear back. I guess I’m out $50 on the valve and $40 on the Royal Purple oil.

same as fram sure drain that was made about 15 yrs ago
Can't be any simpler, remove oil drain plug and drain oil ( best to do when doing oil change since oil will come out since drain plug is being removed ), once oil is drained clean thread's and install the new drain valve and tighten to spec's ( don't remember if it says how many inch lbs or ft lbs to tighten to in paperwork that came with this or not, so if not then check oem recommended torque for drain plug ) once installed then thread dust cap on and then fill oil back up to right level. This model did work on my 2018 Silverado w\5.3L and also will fit my 98 k1500 w\5.7L 350. When you drain your oil next there is no need for a funnel to catch the oil and direct it into a old oil jug or milk jug ect. Just unscrew the dust cap and then thread on the other part the drain hose goes on and have the hose end in a container of your choice that will hold the amount of oil your vehicle takes without over filling the container. If by chance you find your self running out of room in your container and still have oil coming out to drain, just unthread the outer part of the kit with the hose and it will stop the flow of oil ( keep in mind there will still be some oil draining out of the hose ). Then you have time to get a 2nd container under the drain hose to finish the oil draining. These are same concept fram came out with years ago and I have 1 of those on my 93 S10 blazer still to this day and never have had any issue's with it as it, and this are a very simple product, basically a spring loaded valve that the outer part pushes up ( inward ) on the actual valve allowing the oil to flow through to drain. Not sure I'd recommend something like this for someone offroading, unless you have a skid plate over the oil pan to protect it. This will make my 8quart oil change alot easier and cleaner this spring on my 18 Silverado!

First Thing Added to Every New Vehicle
Like I said in the title, this drain valve is the first thing I add to any vehicle I buy. Makes oil changes so very easy. No mess, no burned fingers, can drain right into an old oil bottle. The warning that KFE includes about the torque spec is there for a very good reason! I overtorqued one (after using these for years, I should have known better), it broke off, so I had to extract the threaded portion from the oil pan and buy another. Lesson learned.

Got about 2 years out of it
The plug worked okay for about 2 years but it started leaking a few months ago. Tried to clean it and get it set but it's still leaking, not much but there's spots on the pavement. It also never drained quickly even not using the tube. Can't recommend this product, I'm going back to stock.
