I'm sure that this works fine for art paint brushes. I tried it on brushes used for nail art. (Acrylic and nail polish brushes)...but it was not made for that...acetone works best for cosmetic uses.I'm not down grading it because I'm not an artist and don't use acrylic paint. I haven't tried it for the intended use.I needed a brush cleaning container and this product was recommended at the time of purchase so that is how I ended up with it. Silly Amazon algorithms! The container works great...It may still be recommended to nail techs and this is who the review is intended.

I usually don't write any reviews but I HAVE to recommend this! This blue apple cider-smelling liquid saved two of my brushes after soaking them for about 3 hours. One was a dry brush I carelessly let dry with Valhallan Blizzard caked on it, and the second had a drop of superglue dripped onto it. Both good as new which honestly blew my mind.

I used my boar hog bristle brushes with an oil based stain and they were not properly cleaned, the bristles were crusty and damaged. Very expensive brushes that I have had for decades….brought back to life with this amazing cleaner and restorer.

I followed the directions that said if you have old paint on a brush you can let it set for 24 hrs. I was able to pull/wash off some of the paint but the brushes were a gummy mess. No amount of rinsing or sitting in water helped. I just threw them away. Soap & water works best. If I forget a brush it just needs to be thrown away. I will not repurchase or recommend this product.

These did a decent job of cleaning my paintbrushes of oil paint after painting, but didn't leave the brushes perfectly clean, which I wanted. And I let the brushes soak in this solution for quite a while, swished them around in it and then let sit. Definitely easy to use; I just poured a little bit in a bowl not used for anything else, and swished the brushes in the solution. Bottle is a good size, easy to open.
