Underwater Kinetics MiniQ40 MK2 250 Lumens Dive Light

I have ~5 of the previous generation of these and just bought one of the new MK2.The old eLED plus version was great and I used it as a backup light as well as general flashlight (in the RV, car, walking the dog, etc). This is my favorite flashlight.The old version was twist to turn on, the new version has a push button on the back. I definitely like the convenience of the push button but it does give a second point of failure from a leak standpoint if you use this for diving. Now it can leak around the o-ring on the lens where you change the batteries and also on the push button. However the convenience of the push button as well as updated LED for more brightness is great so far. Unfortunately I don't dive much anymore so may not get to test out how well this holds up at 100' deep over time... but I'll update this review if I have any issues.

It has a very powerful beam, and I love the quick click button (rather that turning a bezel), so ease of use is very nice. It seems like a well-built flashlight, so I think it will stand up to the test of time.

DO NOT BUY.First time I put batteries in the light and screwed the head lense back on, the male threads completely snapped off. I was not even able to use the light one time.The sellers page says I am not able to return the light due to expired return time and the link to "product support" doesnt work.For an item I paid over $65 dollars for this is unacceptable.I am very careful with my dive equipment making sure not to overtighten components. This is the second Underwater Kinetics product I have had break after minimal/no use. Due to this I will switch brands if the seller/distributors cannot back/replace their products.

Reviews said there were problems with the switch. After changing batteries the light DOA , Disappointed I have other UK underwater products that have been outstanding.

The light won’t turn all the way off using the on/off button but fits comfortably onto a dive mask and is bright when the batteries are full.When the button is pushed it is quite bright (second picture), but while “turned off” it still stays dimly lit (first picture) and drains batteries quickly unless the flashlight face is unscrewed.I plan to reach out in case it’s a defect, and will adjust my review accordingly.

This is one tough little light with a very strong beam.I purchased this light to go to French Polynesia on a holiday.One night there were black tipped sharks circling about the catamaran and we were trying to video tale them.We needed stronger light so I got my flashlight Q40 mini MK 2 out to brighten the waters.It fell into the ocean and sank to maybe 30. ft of water.It provided a backdrop light under the sharks.Yhe light stayed on for over 8 hrs and we were able to retrieve it in the morning still burning!I LOVE THIS TOUGH LITTLE LIGHT.

I received this as a Christmas gift. It's super bright but a little heavier than I expected. Have not had it i the water yet but UK makes awesome hardware and has a great warranty on it's products. It comes with batteries pre-installed, do not store it with the batteries installed.

I had an older model of this light that I always left strapped to my mask. This light is far better and brighter. Technology has come a long way - and this is way brighter than one of those gun shaped lights from 10 years ago. Since it straps to your mask, it is a perfect supplemental light that shines where you are looking. And as long as you are wearing your mask, you always have a light on hand. On the downside, the light is a bit bulky, although the new rear thumb depressing on/off has really helped the design. It also conveniently fits inside the dive mask container, so you never forget it.

エネループプロを使えばギリ１日電池交換なしで水中作業できる。シリコンバンドはちぎれたりするので予備をつけておいてほしい。別売りもあればなおよい。価格は6千円ぐらいが妥当だと思う。ダイビング用品は壊れやすい品質の割に価格が高いものが多い。

Worked well, use it as a backup for my dives. Nice size to fit in a pocket.
