amazing how easy it is to use this tool. No assy instr., however since i've not incurred any serious brain damage from all the drug/alcohol abuse in my 76yrs, i managed. Careful tho, you could end up with an 8ft broom handle and no dustpan handle. (or vice versa). Only took me 3 tries to get it right. To use properly, you hold the dust pan in one hand and the broom in the other and with a sweeping motion of the broom part, you scoop up debris from the floor. It can do cat litter, dead bugs, dust bunnies, various grandchild discards like hot dog pieces, cracker crumbs, etc. It's amazing. It even has a little comb-like piece that cleans the dust bunnies from the broom. (that is, if you installed it properly on the lower end of the handle). I recommend this tool highly.

Good for small spaces. Not good for huge open spaces cuz the broom is pretty small. The dust pan is pretty big so you can sweep up a good sized mess before filling it to capacity. The broom handle snaps onto the side of the dustpan handle, and if you angle it so that the broom sits on the dust pan and NOT on the opposite side of the handle, then you can set the dust pan on the floor and the whole thing will stand up and be stable on the floor for storage.However, it's made of a cheap and brittle plastic. So be careful not to bang it against any walls or furniture because you could crack or shatter the plastic parts pretty easily.

Excelent Quality

It feels like it might be flimsy but I think it’s just the narrower pieces, which are metal and my previous set was thicker but plastic. Tips over easily though. The broom is a little narrower and seems, stiff maybe is the right word. Like it doesn’t have quite the right texture. And the whole thing is a little short to me but we are a tall family. It’s not a bad product, it does the job fine, and it is much more affordable than other options. Just not my favorite broom and dustpan ever.

The broom works pretty well, and I really enjoy the little teeth built onto the dustpan that allows me to scrape away some of the usual stuff that gets caught in the broom. Solid product!

The dustpan handle is separate from the dustpan itself; however, it can be extended which is very good for me. That is the only "assembling" needed...attach the handle to the dustpan. If you prefer a longer handle or shorter handle on the dustpan is up to one's personal preference. It can be adjusted. The bristles pick up the smallest particles that are easily swept into the dustpan. In my opinion this broom and dustpan set is a good buy. For the longest time I had used the Quickie Broom and Dustpan set, however, this set is fine.

Who wants to squat down to sweep into a short handle traditional dustpan? This long handle is the way to go. Easy to manipulate and store out of the way. 4 stars because the broom is dinky although nice idea to have the broom to be clipped on th the dustpan handle.
