Nice price point
Worked well! Nice price point, felt solid and cut 1/16th cable nice and clean. Crimping was on point and even. No defects should last for many many years. One minor con: I noticed when I crimp or cut the bolt kept locking on me. WTH?! Not a deal breaker I’m working on tightening that. I recommend for fishing small projects etc... cheers!

Good tool
This tool does its intended job, could have a little more leverage for the larger crimps but it does work. When clipping heavy mono it does tend to leave the end not perfectly flat which can be a pain for putting on barrel crimps.

Really good tool! You can use it with just one ...
Really good tool! You can use it with just one hand since the lock will move just with gravity, so if you just turn it 180 degrees you can lock it and unlock it while you hold your line in your other hand. Pretty precise and strong, you can even crimp smaller crimps, you just gotta be careful not to brake the small fragile crimp by applying to much pressure. It is the best you can buy without spending 100 bucks!

A very nice tool.
It`s the first time I`ve tried crimping, and this tool does the job. Not a lot of instruction with it so get some lessons from Utube if possible and it will make a big difference. Crimping looks simple, but there is only ONE right way to do it that's really fool proof.

Contains chemical that causes cancer!!!!!
So I did not know, when buying this product that it says on the warning of the package. "Warning product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects and other reproduction harm" I'm 17 bought this to crimp shark fishing rigs. It works, but is a little hard to squeeze due to bad leverage. And the circles are a little misaligned but like I said, it works so I'm going to keep on using it. And will try to adjust it so the circles are lined up perfectly.

Not good for a lot of crimping.
These crimpers are probably fine if you only need to do about 10 to 20 crimps for the lifetime of the tool, but if you crimp a lot, they don't last. I've done about 50 double barrel crimps with these and they now won't crimp. The crimp halves no longer line up and they won't exert any pressure on the crimp. Tried tightening the main nut/bolt, but it only stripped out.

Beware bad new batch
Purchased crimper in december 2014 based on positive reviews. When product arrived, i noticed that the crimping holes did not form circles becasue the two jaw sides are misaligned. Also, the two jaw sides do not completely close due to the topmost contact points touching, thus preventing the crimp to fully compress. The result is weak crimps that pull through when using the holes specified for each line size. To make a strong crimp, i would need to crimp with the specified hole, then again with the smaller size hole. Crimping like this takes twice as long. I requested a replacement, and when it arrived, it was much worse than the original. See the picture and note how crooked the holes are aligned (espeially on the .1-.5 hole), the paint chip in the red portion, and how it appears the crimp holes were countersunk with a drill in a effort to remove burrs. I managed to get by by using a grinder to grind down the first 2 contact points (the ridges next to the crimp holes), so the jaw closes more squarely, and the holes are able to compress the crimp fully. The replacement is going back, as it is total junk. It seems that the crimpper isnt made to the quality it once was, and i highly discourage purchase since it will be more time consuming, and less reliable than a quality tool.
