TAXIBUGS Real 5 Horned Beetle/Eupatorus Gracilicornis Flying Form Taxidermy in Transparent Box Display (Black Wooden Box)

This beetle is absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be happier! I was concerned due to other reviews that it would be extremely malodorous, but that isn't the case. It does smell of preservatives but not so strongly as to offend. Can't wait to receive the other creatures I've ordered from this distributor.

Made a great gift!

Anyone who's dealing with the horrid moth ball smell, simply seal the entire box (front&back) using Mod Podge. I added a few coats. Also, seal the black strip on the see through plastic. Worked wonderful. Zero smell.

EVERYTHING I WANTED. Just like it was pictured. Barely and odor, but the odor isn’t even gross. Highly recommend. This is the start to my collection and I am so very excited.

Great specimen, well articulated. Terrible Smell. It's a moth ball inside the like white cube. Unless you pry up the glass and remove it, it will stink for years. It's a whole moth ball, the smell wont just go away. I'd pay a few $ more for them to find an alternative to a moth ball.

This is literally a balsa wood box with a small pane of glass. It came with no kind of sealant around the glass, which fell out into my hands, and due to the porous nature of the wood and the unsealed glass the entire box REEKS of formaldehyde. The smell is strong enough to fill my living room. Beautiful insect, poor execution.

This big guy was handled with great care and his display is awesome! My daughter just got her degree in Wildlife biology and this is perfect for her! Do handle with care as these are somewhat fragile but the display and box are perfect! Will purchase more of these soon! Thank you!!

Essendo il primo acquisto di questo genere posso solo dire che sembrerebbe di ottima fattura, ma c'è una scatolina bianca al l'interno che emana un odore sgradevole e pungente sicuramente per tenerlo conservato, purtroppo per colpa di questo odore l'ho appeso in garage

This came quickly and arrived perfectly intact for my son's birthday. He loved it - great size, well mounted. Ours had zero of the scent that I had read about in reviews (thankfully!). The display box has a small flaw (a nail hole, cut laterally so you see a 'groove' cut into the side) that was just painted over which is a little too bad but all-in-all, very pleased.

C est un petit format mais très jolie le cadre est de mauvaise facture mais surtout dégage une odeur très forte sans doute emise par une petite boîte cache dans l angle à droite qui dégage un conservateur de l insecte style « formol. »
