Q: What are the diameters of the tamping surfaces?

2 3/8'' and just short of 2''. Mind that I made these measurements just to answer this question. It was not written anywhere.

Q: Does this fit the mr. coffee bvmcecm260?

I bought this product explicitly FOR the Mr Coffee BVMC-ECM260. If you're making at least 2 shots worth of espresso, the smaller side fits no problem. Any less and this product won't work. But keep in mind, 2 shots (for me) makes one 12-16oz latte or similar espresso drink. The larger side is too large, period. Also keep in mind you DON'T want to muscle the grounds down. A couple pounds of pressure and that's it. Too much pressure will cause a back-up in the machine and you'll end up with a mess.

Q: I accidentally washed the tamper in the dishwasher. it is dull and not shiny now. is it still safe to use? will i be able to make it shiny again?

Perfectly safe to use. Use google for tios on polishing aluminum

Muy buen producto

Desde hace mucho estaba buscandolo, antes de tenerlo utilizaba otros objetos para comprimir el café para hacer espresso sin embargo no lograba comprimirlo bien. Ahora es mucho más fácil, no hay rastros de granos café en el espresso y esto ha logrado que cambié el sabor completamente. Muy buena relación en cuestión de precio y calidad.
