Weber 99281 Gas Grill Propane Regulator 41 Inch Hose for Genesis 300 Series Grills (2007-2010)

I wanted this item for my Weber Spirit 210 grill, although it is identified only for use on the Weber Genesis 300 grill. I checked that the Genesis and Spirit grills look to be closely similar and placed my order accordingly. To my pleasant surprise, the Weber Instructions identify that this item is suitable for Summit, Genesis and Spirit grills and is exactly the Spirit part that I needed. The regulator has the exact same part number as the one I am replacing. It has 41" hose length, which provides the additional length I needed. The assembly of the regulator and hose is the usual superior Weber quality. I am happy with it and would recommend it to other prospective users. Note that the 3/8" NPT female flare fitting requires a 19 mm metric open wrench, whereas the hexagon nut on the bulkhead connector inside the Spirit grill is 16 mm metric. Both wrenches are shown in the Instructions, but they are not identified as metric and their sizes. Both wrenches need to be fairly thin to fit together in the available space.As additional information to the above, my reason for needing this item is to replace the 16" hose that came with the Spirit 210 grill. It is too short for the gas bottle style, which results in a flow-restricting hose twist at the connector end. The 41" length solves this problem and also allows the inclusion of a pressure gauge at the tank connection.

Purchased this as a replacement for my 10-year-old 2007 Weber Genesis EP-320 gas grill, in August of last year, and for the remainder of the year, it worked fine. But in February, just 6 months later, it was leaking like a sieve, as so many other reviewers have noted. Wish I would have paid more attention to the negative reviews. Just purchased another replacement regulator made by DozyAnt for $14.85, less than half the price of this one, and it solved the leaking issue! The main difference between the two regulators, other than not leaking, is that the DozyAnt hose comes straight out and in-line with the regulator, rather than the L-shape of this one. To compensate for the straight design, I just rotated the propane gas canister a little to the left, so the grill door will close. Problem solved!

I paid extra to make sure I got a weber part since the first one lasted 10 years. My weber genesis original regulator was beginning to stick and required tapping on the housing to get it to work properly, so I knew it was time for a new one. After hooking this thing up the new regulator leaked profusely from the diaphragm housing. I'm glad that I caught it before it caused a fire or explosion. I'm really surprised of the quality control on a factory weber part.

This is my 3rd regulator on the Weber since purchasing it 10 years ago. Not much to say other than it is 1/2" longer than the original, fits into the same hanging clips, and can be installed in seconds with nothing more than a pair of pliers. Grill fired right back up....I'm using this brand from now on since it is much cheaper than the "brand" version that I normally got for the grill.

Updated:I installed this regulator on my grill just 4 months ago and it's leaking at the connection at the tank. After contacting the seller they immediately issued a refund. Disappointed in the product itself but the customer service was great.

Old one started leaking gas. Easy Installation perfect replacement for original (but much shorter) Weber 210 hose/regulator. Keep tanks separate from grill so this is perfect.

I replaced my factory gas regulator that lasted 15 years with this one. It is a genuine Weber part and is sold by Weber.. Installation on my Genesis grill was easy. It initially worked but after three months it now leaks. Nothing like a huge gas leak to dampen ones spirit and enthusiasm for grilling. What a disappointment! I used to trust Weber but after this I have my doubts about the company.

Long enough to allow me to hang the tank on the device that shows the volume. I replaced original one that leaked and was too short to hang the tank.
