These socks were a little more than some I saw on the amazon site although upon reading their reviews I avoided and pleased I did. These socks are very well made and will last a long time as they are quality and very robust where extra support in heals and toes. With elastic in tops to stop them slipping. They are comfortable and keep my feet warm. I wear a pair every day with my muck boots or walking shoes when out with my dog and fully recommend them. Fit well and comfortable. I have had these socks a couple of months now. Excellent value.

They were bought for a neighbour of mine. She is delighted with them. Rather pleasant to wear as she says they are warm the quality is high. She was surprised at the price and excellent value for money.

Seriously love these socks. I use them for hiking and have to say they are comfy and warm, especially in the winter. Love it.

First impression - too many loose ends and putting on stopped by thread attached both ends getting between toes. But once on - comfortable - and plenty of room - almost too much extra material at the toe end for my size 9s. Plus comment - thick and comfortable in walking boots. Too big for shoes.

It's a little unfair to criticise these socks as they are pretty good but be aware they are tight fitting at the top and all round and can be a bit difficult to get on if your balance isn't good and you're not very bendy in the middle. They are also not colourfast so for the first few times wash by hand not in the washing machine with other clothes as they'll come out with a greenish tinge. Mrs H was seriously annoyed with me that day! That said they're a very good walking sock for boots or wellies.

My second order. I have Bridgedale & Mund socks and although these aren’t as soft, they’re just as warm but over £20 cheaper per pair than Bridgedale. Absolute bargain.

The 2.8 TOG rating is accurate. Warm and conformable, just ordered another set. Brilliant for the UK's wet and cold winters when wearing safety boots.
