This Amla Powder is fabulous! I must say that it taste horrible but, I've learned how to make it more palatable by adding it into my morning Cinnamon Oatmeal along with MSM and a little bit of honey.Or ill add it into my green tea twice a day, add honey and it's not too bad tasting. After doing much research on hypothyroidism and how to combat the dry chicken skin, thin skin, dry hair plus hair thinning and loss, weight gain and high cholesterol and then , being a cancer survivor 4x over, and the damage caused by chemo treatments and radiation, I found Amla Powder!!! I've been using it also in my homemade serums, lotions and hair mask. What a huge difference it has made. My hair is growing in where it was completely gone (when used mixed with African Black Castor Oil, Rosemary Essential Oils, Geranium Essential Oil,Olive Oil and MSM powder. Rubbed into the scalp for 10_20 minutes cover in a plastic hair cap or plastic wrap, and left in hair over night then wash out in the morning) . As for my skin, when mixed into my lotions , body butters and Serums, the changes are very remarkable! It's plumped up my skin, it has a nice healthy glow all over. I don't know yet if it has helped lower my Cholesterol yet, it was 245 on the last blood test, will give an update when I ha e my blood work done again. Anyway, I will be ordering the Amma Power again.

After experiencing hair loss I searched online for possible remedies and read about amla. The first purchase was in September from Terrasoul and just have reordered, very economical for such a terrific product. While I do believe it has helped with regrowth, or at least stopped the shedding, it is the other benefits from amla that will have me taking it for life. The antioxidants are numerous; I haven't been sick one day since taking it; it helps keep the body alkaline which wards off viruses and cancers. It is probably doing all sorts of marvelous things internally that can't be seen, but is benefiting my long term health. I sing amla's praises to whoever will listen. I put it in hot tea and it tastes just fine. If you haven't researched the benefits, do so, you will be glad you did.

doesn't taste great, but seriously not as bad as some reviewers allege. this doesn't 'dissolve' in liquid, but it does 'disperse', which means if you don't drink it all at once, you need to swirl or stir it occasionally to keep the powder from settling on the bottom. only been using for a few days, so can't speak to the effects, but i can say that, unlike some other anti-oxidants, it doesn't create an acid environment reaction; which means it doesn't cause oral ulceration. so that's great, since any way to get more anti-oxidants is a good thing!

hard to decide how many stars to give it: I wasn't able to take it as a supplement, the stuff gives me the runs. So now I use it as a laxative when I get constipated -- half a teaspoon works like a charm within a couple of hours. No cramping but lots of belly rumbling. Haven't seen any other reviews where it had a similar effect, perhaps it's just me. Hey, when life hands you lemons... Tastes pretty awful, but I manage to down it in a glass of water, or with some watermelon chunks Update after about a month of using it: I am re-ordering, so I guess I like it enough to bump up to 5 stars! The packages says: "initially sour taste..." I was wondering what on earth that might mean, it did taste awfully sour, what was that "initially" all about? But after a few weeks of taking it, it doesn't taste all that sour to me any more! I was very surprised, it tastes ok now. About giving me the runs -- if I take too much (over about half a teaspoon), especially on an empty stomach, yes, it will clean me out. But if I take it after eating and keep to about 1/4 of a teaspoon, no problem. Feels like my body wants it. I have also been using it as a hair mask.

Started taking Amla (added to our morning smoothie) primarily to help lower triglycerides, and then secondarily because of amla’s high antioxidant properties. We have not yet had tests to see if there has been any impact to our triglycerides, so I don’t have evidence of that yet. But research does show that it should help on both the triglycerides and antioxidants fronts. Be prepared for a strong taste. It is mostly masked in my smoothie (which has a lot of beets, so I think that masks the Amla taste); however, I’ve had it in water and it’s not a great tasting drink! That wouldn’t stop me from taking it. Terrasoul seems to have a good product at a good price. I’ve purchased two bags so far and plan on purchasing more.

I ordered this product b/c it is one of the best forms of vitamin C. It is all natural & organic which was a big factor in why I wanted it. The powder has a sour taste which I don't mind, it's not bitter just a little tart. However, the texture is off putting. It seems no matter how much you mix it it never really dissolves & is grainy. I've tried adding it to smoothies & that hides the grainy texture best. It does not blend well in yogurt or juice. In fact it seems to negatively affect the taste of yogurt & juice & that ruins it for me. I'm also confused by how much vitamin C one is actually getting in a serving size. The label says 1 teaspoon is a serving size & that you are getting 70% vitamin C, but exactly how much is 70% of vitamin C? 70% of what the RDA value? I'm not sure at all. I may order this again, but I think I'll search for a product with more clear labeling & one that dissolves better.

This is the second order I have placed for this product. I have used it both internally (in smoothies) and externally (in my hair) and like the product. I was suffering from hair loss and each time I have used this on my hair I notice that the amount of hair in my comb is far less. I have recently started using it regularly in my smoothies. I cannot taste it's bitterness when I put it in smoothies. I don't think I have been using it long enough internally to be able to say that I have noticed that there is a change in my health (I am pretty healthy anyway) or how I feel. Overall, I have no complaints about the powder. While I have not had to contact the company about anything, I would say from the emails I have received from them that they are concerned with the quality of their product and satisfaction of their customers. Since customer service and quality seem to be lacking in so many products and companies, it is nice to see a company care about their products and customers.
