This arrived in a custom branded matt black lift top box with the knife fitted into hard foam cut-out with a plastic sleeve along with a rubber tip protector. After opening it all up I gave it a good look over, the finishing appears flawless and the knife has very good centre of balance, the Ebony handle feels and looks very nice set off against the hammering pattern and black gloss finish of the main blade.As a family we don’t eat takeaways or ready meals so everything is prepared and home cooked, this knife has been given a very good workout cutting a variety of vegetables, fruit and meat, the blade is as you would expect razor sharp but unlike a lesser quality knife stays sharp, it feels comfortable in the hand and made light work of everything I cut with it.Overall this is a very nice high quality knife; it has a modern look with the gloss black hammer finishing set against the Ebony handle, the knife has a hardness of 58 so it should outlast lesser quality knives by years. I found it perfectly balanced, comfortable in the hand and great to use so have given it top marks.
