Q: How long this product can be stored after being open?

Definitely 1 gallon. I see 1 gallon mentioned in the description but 8 ounces as the weight ... go figure. Great pond product.

Absolutely will be great for that would probably buy a couple of containers

Both, if used regularly as directed will help in keeping water clear and toxic free for fish. If water good, algae will not grow. Of course, keep yard debris netted out, don’t over feed fish, and test water quality regularly. I have 3500 gallons w bead & biofilters & keep a tiny drizzle of faucet water going in so I never do a big water change. Just let some out every week or two.
