Basic unit but Quite Functional - Simple Solution - Work Just Fine
Bought this item a few days ago and it seems to work just fine. Shipped really fast thanks to Amazon Prime. Outdoor chlorinator quit working and this was a simple and less expensive fix. It came assembled so all I had to do was put in the 3 inch tablets, put the top back on, and drop it in the pool. Two things to note - (1) there is no tether that comes with it so it heads straight away for the skimmer! Solution: threaded some string through the hole in the top, tied a small washer to the string underneath so it wouldn't pull out, then tied it to the step rail. Perfect solution! (2) My pool is only about 14000 gallons so I closed the vents completely and now both the free chlorine and total chlorine levels stay stable and at the correct level. If you open the vents at all your probably gonna need to have a bigger pool than mine. All in all, great product, does what I expected, and would buy it again I believe. I gave a 4 to durability since I just got it and have no idea how long it will last knowing how caustic chlorine is, but at the price if it makes it through a season or two I'll just buy another one!

Great Quality Chlorine Float Dispenser
This Chlorine float dispenser is a great value compared to purchasing in a pool supply store which has them 2 and 3 times the price from this seller.It is nice to see a seller not trying to price gouge for a on line purchase.This floater arrived on time packaged nicely and works great very happy with our purchase .

UPDATE Works good; ; large capacity
I like this better than my old one. It holds more tablets. It seems to be well made and should last a long time. I put a little screw eye in it and attached it via a string to a decorative rock on the side of my pool so it is in the current; otherwise these things just float to the skimmer, blocking it, and get stuck there.UPDATE: This has lasted about 3 full summers; now the top is pretty well "cooked" from the sun and the bottom fell out. Time for a new one. I will buy this one again. Beware: if the bottom fails and the tablets fall on the floor of your pool it will cause a stain that is hard to remove unless you notice the problem soon and get the tablets off the floor.

Does it's job, would be better if made with correct platic
Lasted for 17 months. Some have reported the item broke after a few months.The top cap has flimsy tabs to keep the cap in place. Those broke first about 9 months after deployment.Now the bottom has broken.I think the sun and the chlorine are rather harsh on this plastic. If it were made with pvc, it would last years. Same material as the pool vacuum cleaners Alas, no one is willing to make things with correct materials in our throw away world.The other floaters in this price also have the same problems. All these brands likely source it from the same manufacturer.

This works great!
It’s great that it opens up a little or more as you need to let out enough of the chlorine tabs. It hold a good amount too, and is easy to use.
