Mario Kart with Wii Wheel (Wii) - Wii Remote Not Included

Mario kart has always been fun to play. From the first game on the SNES up to the recent games on the DS, Mario kart will always remain fun.So what about the wii version? I have to admit, I personally prefer the GC Double Dash game that came before it. But this game is still great. You have a nice selection of characters, great set of tracks, same old catchy Mario music, same items with a few new additions (including the dreaded friendship breaking blue shell, lol). The wii motion controls do work well with this game (although you can still play with a controller if you wish). There are a few new additions, like bikes, new characters and so on.The single player is as it has always been...challenging to hair pulling levels (at least for me). The multi-player has been as it has always been....unbeatable fun for any gathering of most ages. All in all, a great game to pick up.

Got this game from Amazon for 20.99 brand new (it seems to have increased appreciably in price since 24.12.2010), and it has been great fun to play for all the family. The only problem is you might not be able to stop playing it, even late at night, and kids I should think would be very difficult to prise away from it. It has, as it says, a wii wheel, which I think is necessary for maximum ease of driving and enjoyment. There are, at the outset four different Grand Prix cups to compete for, but as you improve the game unlocks hidden Grand Prix and new drivers. The instructions with the pack I got, however, are in every language except English, so if you want to find out how to slide round corners and benefit from tips about speed enhancement you'll really have to go on line.

Excellent graphics, excellent sound effects and an all round excellent game! Little has changed from the original, the aim is to race as fast as you can, dodging obstacles and other opponents attempts to thwart you whilst attempting to collect as many boosts as you can on the way around the track. It's a really entertaining game which can be played by either one player or several. Personally I prefer 2 player. I would really recommend purchasing an extra Wii wheel for two player, it really makes a difference for the whole player experience. Finally, don't worry about getting an authentic Nintendo wheel - I bought a spare wheel which wasn't made by Nintendo and it does just as good a job.

Pros:Fun game that can be played with friends and family.The wheel shaped controller adds an extra dimension to the game.Amazing looking courses, that genuinely offers different levels of difficulty.Courses from older games are included which is extremely nostalgic!Cons:Sadly the Wii's graphics are not very crisp so a lot of the footage seems a bit dated.The lack of variety when it comes to perks, no one wants a banana skin when they are first.The inevitability of getting hit by a blue shell if you are first and other failed game patterns.
