VTechSN7021 Cordless 2-Way Weather-Resistant Audio Doorbell for SN5127 & SN5147 Senior Phone Systems

I bought the VTech SN5147 phone for my great-aunt, and it's been fantastic for her, mainly because she's hard of hearing.Easy to Use: The big buttons and clear screen are helpful. She finds it easy to dial and see who's calling.Loud and Clear: The sound is amplified so she can hear everything better. No more asking people to repeat themselves!Corded and Cordless: It's great that it has a corded phone and a cordless handset.Answering Machine: The answering machine is easy for her, so she never misses a message.Overall: This phone is a big help for seniors with trouble hearing. It's made a massive difference for my great-aunt. I have yet to put pictures on the speed dial buttons, and I am sure she would be delighted to use the buttons after setup.

So we bought the SN5147 amplified corded/cordless answering system with Big Buttons and display. But it came with inky one handset. So I bought 3 more cordless handsets SN5107.. in the beginning I could not connect with base. Manual does not say what to do if it says “no pwr at base” etc. so I searched online and found that if you get this message all u need to do to reset the handset and register it is press *331734#. Then press menu/ select button on the handset. The handset will then say ready to register and voila you can follow instructions in manual on how to register/connect the handset to the base. Trust me you will thank me for this. I almost returned them back thinking they didn’t work. But if u reset them by using the code above it works!!

I purchased with other Vtech items for my ageing parents and I was super disappointed with the condition this unit arrived in. The batteries had exploded so I'm glad they were in a separate bag, however, the paint on the unit was flaking and made the unit look very old. I haven't yet tested the functionality as I'm having so much trouble with other features of other accessories but this is likely going back.

Phone looked lovely and I’m sure it would have worked well, but it came with a 2 pin plug and so we returned it as we are in the uk
