Saved my old nail gun.
Purchased some non-Dewalt supposable like for like batteries for my ageing nail gun only to be let down by them after less than a few weeks. Thought I would have to pay silly money for the original Dewalt Nimh batteries. Found this and then purchased a new Dewalt Li-ion a lot cheaper than an original Nimh battery & with more Ah’s. Good piece of kit. Given 4 stars as the longevity of this is still quite new and not yet proven.

good item to extend the life of old drills. however high drain tools like saws can melt the plastic under load. be aware

Product is permanent connection to your tool.
To be honest not sure if this make or another make but they all basically have same design. If you have a lot of DeWalt tools like I have I thought would be handy to use with newer type batteries and could transfer from tool to tool as I used this adapter. Plus as I still have at least one old style battery that charges I would be able to choose whether I wanted to use adapter or older battery. I might be wrong to moan about adapter at this price but once attached to any tool that tool has an adapter that cannot be taken off unless manufacturer knows any different. Will probably order a couple more as just ordered 2 new style batteries and a new charger. Just allow for fact that once fitted to a DeWalt tool you can only use new type battery from then on with that tool plus one adapter needed for every old type DeWalt tool you have.
