was a little skeptical but amazon always delivers
I bought this monitor to replace 1 out of 3 of my ASUS monitors, after about 5 years my 3rd ASUS monitor went out for no reason just had a corrupted image. I really like the colors and picture quality of ASUS but I didn't want to pay the ASUS premium for monitor #3. Truthfully you can only game on 1 monitor anyways so there's no point in buying 3 top tier monitors so I figured I would try to budget this time for the monitor that usually is just used for windows anyways. This amazon monitor is the best value in monitors they really knocked it out of the park for the money and size it cannot be beat. I would use this amazon basic monitor as a main gaming monitor provided your ok or aware of the hz and that its only 1080p truthfully there's nothing really wrong with that but it depends on your pc hardware and what your goal is. I play a lot of single player games and for me over 100 hz 1440p (not amazon basic specs) is just fine I am not a pro gamer. if I knew about this monitor when I bought my 2 side ASUS monitors I would have probably bought 2 amazon basic monitors and then just had a center flagship gaming monitor and saved a fortune. This Amazon basics monitor has 4 usb connections!, 1 hdmi, 1 display port (not sure version), dsub, usb 2.0, and speakers! not very good speakers but they exist. The monitor came really well packaged and super speedy! The picture and colors look really good AFTER tweaking or at least for my liking, The colors settings were just ok and I tweaked them and it looks really amazing now. I had to tweak the monitor and then tweak my display settings for that channel on my nvida card because the monitors spectrum of settings wasn't far enough for my liking could just be a ME problem, after the adjustment I think it looks better than my other ASUS left side monitor and about as good as my center top tier monitor with the exception of the top tier monitor having higher resolution and hz. I would definitely consider amazon monitors again next time I go monitor shopping what a value!

Really nice and a really nice price.
I needed a monitor with audio but didn't want to spend a lot and I've used Amazon Basics before for other things, so I thought this was a great deal. At first, I thought, I needed a 32" but the one that I am replacing is 27" so it was a no brainer. I LOVE IT! It has all kinds of settings and has 3 different video inputs and 3 USB inputs, one is the printer type, meant to be a hub. Also an audio in and out which I really like. The hardest part of setting up is the damned box, what is with all the tabs they put on them now!!?? I just tore it open. I had to read the manual only a couple of times as it is set just the way I like it. Most of the hardware assembly is no big deal, you can tell what goes where. Another nice feature is a regular plug, not a power block. You can easily plug into a power strip without taking up 3 outlets. The speaker/s are okay, but not vibrant enough for me. But I have an Altec Lansing speaker which I am using for the sound. Picture is great and it has many options for change if I want. It even has a gaming mode which I don't need but thought I should mention.

Great for the price
For the price you cannot beat it. It is built well and has been just as good as our $300 monitors. We didn’t use the stand but it seems to have different adjustments to fit your need. Is pretty heavy but it’s a big screen.

Good Picture, but the Extras Are More Promise Than Substance
I'll start with the good: This monitor offers a fine picture, which is primarily what most people want in a monitor. This isn't the sort of monitor that would make a hardcore gamer happy. The refresh rate is only 75Hz, it won't deliver the high frame rates needed for fast action without ghosting. And it's only 1080p, so this is a monitor for someone who wants a bigger picture, not for someone who wants to fit a lot more on the screen. But, for typical business uses, like accounting, word processing, e-mail, web browsing and even watching videos, the picture is crisp and vibrant. The extras, however, are something of a disappointment. The listing for this monitor prominently states that the monitor has built-in speakers. And, in fact, it does. But those speakers leave a lot to be desired. The sound from them is faint, thin, tinny and not particularly clear. They're barely good enough for spoken voice, and then only if the room is quiet. Even cheap USB-powered speakers sound better than the speakers in this monitor.Next, we have the missing cables. If you are connecting to this monitor via HDMI or DisplayPort, you can listen to your thin, tinny sound to your heart's content, because HDMI and DisplayPort carry audio as well as video. But if you're connecting via VGA and you want to use the built-in speakers, you'll need to provide your own 3.5mm audio cable; you'll find none in the box. Similarly, this monitor boasts a built-in 4-port USB 3.2 hub, but if you want to make use of those USB ports, you'll need to beg, borrow, steal or buy a USB 3.x A-B cable, because none is provided. Seriously, Amazon & AOC? I can understand omitting the audio cable to shave away costs, because it's pretty common for people to have those lying around. But a USB 3.x A-B cable? How many of you have one of those in your spare cables drawer? As an IT consultant, I'm pretty well stocked with spare cables, but even I don't have any USB 3.x A-B cables. (At least you can buy one pretty inexpensively here on Amazon, now that you know.)So, I'm giving this monitor 4 stars for its respectable picture, and leaving one out for the poor excuse for speakers and the missing cables.

Solid upgrade for the price
Great price for a second monitor. We recently upgraded our computer and realized we needed a digital upgrade so the PC could run dual monitors. The picture looks great.

Nice Big Monitor - Very Affordable Price!
Very nice monitor at a reasonable price. I'm so happy with this monitor! It's big! It's easy to set up! The picture quality is great. I use the monitor with my work laptop, and it's nice to see everything on the big screen. I'm more productive than ever.

Computer Monitor
The product quality is great however, I ended up returning as I could not get my laptop to work with it. Otherwise, the price and everything about it is excellent.
