yes! even younger kids enjoy it a lot! my 3.5 yrs old LOVES it, my 8 and 2 yrs old LOVE it too!!!

Can the tiles be opened and the magnets come out?

I've had three sets of kids....2 1/2 yrs old to 12 years old play with these blocks...so far nothing has come open of cracked. I'm sure if you had the right tools the magnets would come out...but you'd have to be very strange and determined
