The clip-ins work fine and are very easy to clip in and out. The shoe looks like a regular walking shoe and it's perfect for walking around after getting off the bike (pub, restaurant, sidewalks, hiking path). The laces can be drawn tight or loose to allow for varying foot widths. I love the shoe and would buy it again. The only problem is that the U.S. sizing chart is definitely wrong. I am from the U.S. and always buy a size 12 shoe (which equates to a size 48). For this shoe, however, I had to purchase the U.S. size 14 to get the right size. The sizing chart for this shoe erroneously shows that a U.S. size 14 is the equivalent of a 48. It should show that U.S. size 12 is the equivalent of 48. So if you are using the U.S. sizing chart, order a size or two larger than what you normally purchase. This U.S. sizing chart problem has been called out by many of the reviewers of this product. The reviewers are correct when they say that if you order your normal U.S. size, the shoes will be too small for you.

These commuter shoes were EXACTLY what I was looking for! They're comfortable, transition seamlessly between riding and walking and have a very clean/stylish sneaker look and feel. My Shimano SPD cleats are neatly tucked into the bottom of the shoe and you never feel it when walking. To my surprise, they also VERY easily snapped into the pedals the first time I tried them! As far as size, I usually where a US men's 11 and they don't sell that half size but the 45 EU which translates to a 11.5 in US fit like a glove. They're a little narrow so an actual 11 would've probably been too tight. I'm very happy with these and they're now one of my favorite cycling equipment.

Très conformtable et surtout lorsque j'arrête prendre une pause ou je veux aller au dépanneur ou au restaurant je ne marche pas sur les talons, confortable et respire bien.

I've been spinning on stationary bikes for many years, but had never bought shoes. I just kept my regular sneakers and used the cages on the pedals. But as part of my recovery from some recent foot surgery, the doctor said I should use cycling shoes in order to return to spinning much sooner than later. But the main reason I put off buying shoes all these years was because I hated the way most all of them looked (the velcro straps and clips and odd colors). Then I found these Tommaso Milanos and they looked really cool--just like regular tennis shoes. I especially like that they lace up and, with the recess for cleats, can be worn like sneakers when you're not cycling. As far as the fit goes, they are on the narrower side, and I did take the advise of an earlier reviewer and ordered one size up from my normal shoe size. Had I gotten my normal size, I think they would have been too tight, but the upsize was perfect (if you are only wearing them for cycling, they are not likely to stretch or loosen up much). Overall, I'm very happy with them and glad that I waited until they came along to get my first pair of bike shoes.
