Good replacement for Altura Home Decorators Fan rod
Quality product, but I didn't realize it's intended as replacement, not as an extension. I was hesitant to order this 0.75" rod given that the rod on our Altura Home Decorators fans measures 1", but surprisingly so do the Hunter Fan rods. No idea why they advertise them as 0.75". GIven that these are meant to replace the original rod, this one was a bit short, but at least the thread and width were compatible with the Altura fan. One difference is that the grounding screw hole on the Altura is bigger, so you need to get an extra screw. I used a 0.5" long #8-32 zinc screw from HD.

Hunter extension fits Honeywell fan
This Hunter 12" down rod also fits the Honeywell 52" fan for those installing on an angle (or standard installation).

Exactly what was needed
Replaced all the fans in the house and against my better judgement, used the 2-4" dropdown supplied with fans. BIG MISTAKE. Not enough distance between ceiling and blades to get good airflow. Well, thinking ahead and not wanting to spend $20 a piece for a downrod, I kept the length of the wires in case I ever decided to change them out on 5 fans. They went on sale, I bought em and the fans put out some air now!

This rod was perfect match color wise and size wise, for the new bronze Hunter fan. Just as if it had come in the box with the fan.
