At the end of the day, it's only a bit of foam.
If you buy the proper Grado earpads you'll pay a lot more than you will for these, but come on... real or knock-off, they still look like something I could make for myself with a craft knife and some recycled packing material. Do they work? Yes they do, they fit my SR80 headphones perfectly. Are they comfortable? They're a bit more comfortable than the flat pads which come as standard, but you're still going to have to contend with the age old problem that everyone complains about, namely the complete lack of padding in the headband. But that's not a criticism of these pads, which do improve matters over all. Grado themselves say that you shouldn't put the 'wrong' pads on their headphones, that each pad is selected specially to bring out just the right amount of treble and bass. It's not a problem that I've noticed, to be honest, and so I say experiment to your heart's content. One thing that I will say - these are huge. If you have a carrying case where you normally keep your 'phones, and you are used to using the flat pads, chances are you'll need to buy a new case. Bear that in mind.

A good value alternative to the original
Used to replace originals on GS1000i.- Not quite as comfortable as originals because the cup is not as deep so they're part on/part over the ear.- They are made from uniform foam, unlike the originals, which are more dense where they attach to the speaker module. This results in them not being as secure a fit as the originals but so far they have stayed in place in normal use.+ They retain the sweet detailed mid/high's and give as similar open and airy presentation to the originals.+ Compared with the original they reinforce the bass a little. This is a good thing (to my ear anyway) as although the GS1000i's are good headphones, they are a little lean bass wise.On balance I'd say these are a good alternative to the original part.

Fit gw100x (wireless)
Got these to replace stock pads that came with the gw100x because they were uncomfortable and annoying, they are a great fit, yes they are really big but I think they look great too, not much difference in the sound and you can always adjust equaliser to suit, I’ve see originals for £70 plus- these are under £13, easy choice 👍🏻
