Directions are not the greatest. The biggest issue I have with the item is that the metal post and the brackets that you attach to the pool top rail, after 2 days they began to rust and now I have rust stains all over my top vinyl pool rail. You would think after spending $300.00 that these would have been powder coated or something done so that they would not rust. Very Very disappointed with this purchase. I do not recommend this product and most certainly would not buy again. If I did not have to pay return shipping I would return this item. Stay away, not good!

I like that it makes it easy to take the cover on and off but I think it could be a little sturdier. It bows in the middle. That makes it difficult to place it back in the base after swinging one side out of the way.

In theory this is suppose to work, but in reality it doesn't. We have a round 28 ft. pool, the reel sags & is too heavy to swing off the frame. The cover rolls up ok, but, it sticks together when trying to unroll, you need 3 people to do the job. Talked to Amazon, In the Swim and Horizon who makes it, no satisfaction holes are drilled, so, it's ours. Could definitely use the $250 to spend elsewhere!!

This is way more robust than what came with our pool. No cheap plastic parts to break. The only complaint is the handle could be longer to make it easier to roll up. It's not impossible now and we have an unusually large cover.

Very difficult to assemble.

This is my worst shopping for my pool. It is too close to floor so it is impossible to close cover. Installation is really really hard. I don’t recommend it at all.Be carafull if you want to return this disfungtional item , you have to pay for shipping and it is supper expensive and they do not cover you on that part.

must really read directions and have some tools, but it works great, really improves efficiency of pool heater now that blanket can be easily pulled out and reeled up

Wish I had bought this earlier. Works great. Must hammer in the bearings. I like that it is all metal!
