Q: how are these different then regualar crayons

These crayons have a consistency that is closer to oil pastels. My daughter loves them. They have great color saturation and are very smooth, but not as messy as oil pastels.

These Gel crayons offer a large variety of high pigment, , water soluble colors. I am an artist who teaches private students and have students purchase these Gel crayons to use in their art journals. Color combinations are excellent with 36 colors. I chose this set to use in my mixed media art for the large variety of colors and discovered all the rest when Using them in my own art journal. I have not tried other brands because this set meets all of my needs.
